Gamigo and XL Games has announced ArcheAge Unchained, the upcoming launch of a new version of their widely successful Online RPG ArcheAge. In ArcheAge: Unchained, which will be released this fall, players will be able to access the entirety of the ArcheAge universe for one single purchase. Items of power that are available for purchase in the free-to-play version of the original game can now be earned by all players. Here’s all the information we have right now.
Payment Model and Key Differences
The biggest difference between the live servers and this new version is the payment model. Unchained is not free to play, and requires a one time purchase. There also isn’t an optional subscription or Patron status for bonuses. This implies of course, that players can expect less P2W. Players cannot transfer items, Credits or characters between the live servers and Unchained.
Unlock Powerful Items By Just Playing
For the past five years, players of ArcheAge have been following their dreams of glory, freedom and riches. The endless plains, mountains, deserts and oceans of the three vast continents tantalize players with this much-coveted freedom. While all the information above is great to whet the appetite, there’s still some massive unanswered questions. Firstly, how much will this new Buy to Play version of ArcheAge cost? B2P MMOs are popular for a reason, and many games have been successful with it. Unfortunately, gamigo hasn’t released the price of ArcheAge Unchained at time of writing. Secondly, when is the release date? August is going to be a hectic month for some of the big guns.
