Upcoming MMORPG Astellia will begin its head start in a week or so, and this weekend the folks behind the game announced a second payment option. Interested players who want a risk free way to check out the game can do so with a subscription. For $9.99 a month, subscribers will get full access to Astellia but only when the game launches on September 27th. Additionally, there are other caveats that comes with the sub. For example, players will miss out on all the early founder’s pack benefits. Things like early name reservation, head start and exclusive costumes are only included with the buy to play packs.
One of the main reasons for implementing the new payment option is due to player feedback. Barunson & EA – the publishers – are listening to its players and have implemented this as a “risk-free” way for players to check out the game. Their promise of no Pay to Win and other changes from the Eastern version of the game have aroused skepticism among the MMO community, so a cheaper way to access the game to see if these changes are implemented is a good option instead of paying full price outright.
