On August 11, Black Desert Onlinedeveloper Pearl Abyss held the Black Desert: Remastered Live Showcase in Seoul. The event showcased the improved graphics and audio coming to BDO ahead of the August 23 release. The executive producer and core development team, as well as Pearl Abyss Business Director Yeong Chul Ham and other executives took part in the event.

The entire keynote speech with English subtitles can be found here.

During his keynote speech, Pearl Abyss Audio Director Hwiman Ryu, the acclaimed composer for rhythm games EZ2DJ and DJMAX, revealed he worked with a full orchestra comprised of 88 musicians from Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary to record the 100 songs (over 300 minutes long) that he composed for the remaster. Not only that, 60 voice actors re-recorded audio for 130 NPCs to give Adventurers a more realistic and immersive experience.

Pearl Abyss told the audience that Adventurers will now be able to enjoy a more vibrant and livelier Black Desert world thanks to the improved graphics and enhanced light processing. The development team also worked to optimize the game’s existing specifications throughout the entire remastering process.

Executive producer of Black Desert Online Jae-Hee Kim also announced future updates coming to BDO. Adventurers will soon get to experience an expanded range of Black Spirit skills, journey to the new region of Ordilita, find new ways to level up, meet the new male ranger, play with the new sniper mode for hunting and more. Kim also revealed there is a new militarized subjugation system in the works.

Prior to the August 23 release of Black Desert: Remastered, Adventurers can take part in the celebration event to receive a Blessing of Kamasylve, and earn other rewards here. On top of that, all Adventurers who log into the game before August 30 will get a Tier 7 Horse Emblem and a Golden Horse Gear Set once Black Desert: Remastered is released.
