Conan Exiles is coming to Steam Early Access in January:
From the developers of Age of Conan: Unchained comes a new MMO survival game which could be linked to the popular MMORPG; Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game which is due for release in 2017.
Funcom has just announced their new MMO survival game and has confirmed that the game will be coming to PC and Xbox One some time next year; they have not commented how it’s linked to Age of Conan but it seems to follow exiled warriors who have been sent to a hostile wasteland with few resources.
The survival game places emphasis on crafting and collecting resources; players must also manage their food and water to ensure they stay in good health. Almost all items in the game will need to be crafted or found by exploring the world, the style is similar to Minecraft and Ark: Survival Evolved.
PvP will be an important gameplay aspect however, Funcom hasn’t commented how the combat will work just yet; it seems as though players will be able to kill each other in duels and battle for territory in fast-paced combat where players will need to move, attack and dodge the opponents moves.
Conan Exiles is set in a sandbox world which will contain hidden secrets and feature a day & night system; while there will be a variety of biomes, they haven’t all been confirmed just yet.
The game will be launched onto Steam Early Access on January 31st and Funcom has also revealed that the game will be coming to Xbox One Game Preview at a later date; a PlayStation 4 release has not been announced yet.
