Starting out in any MMO can feel a little daunting, especially when the player base ranges from novices to day-one veterans. If you’re confused about where to start in your journey for glory, look no further than this new player’s guide to Conqueror’s Blade!
Pick Your Weapon
The perfect weapon is key to any Warlord’s victory in Conqueror’s Blade, and with twelve to choose from, you can try out all the options until you find a weapon that suits your playstyle. The image below lists all the weapons and what they offer.
Get Used to the Unit Tree
During your battles, you will gather Honour, and this can be used to progress in the Unit Tree by unlocking new units and making them stronger. As you progress through different eras, units will become more powerful. Make sure to use Doctrines to add special effects and buffs to your soldiers!
Knowing In-game Currencies
There are seven types of in-game currency in Conqueror’s Blade, and knowing how to earn and use each is invaluable to your experience.
-
Fame:Fame is a seasonal currency that is rewarded for participating in Bandit Raids and donating to your Quartermaster. The Fame Store allows you to purchase exclusive items!
-
Honour:Honour is a crucial currency for expanding your Unit Tree to unlock and enhance your units. Unlocking eras will grant you access to more powerful units.
-
Sovereigns:Sovereigns are your premium currency! These can be used to purchase cosmetic items and consumables, customise your hero, change up your unit’s wardrobe and pick up the season Battle Pass. You can also spend Sovereigns to pay off challenges that are proving troublesome.
-
Silver:Earn Silver by completing quests, and use it to buy and sell goods at the in-game market, buy artillery from the merchants, or upgrade equipment for your troops.
-
Blades:Blades are a seasonal currency that you can spend in the Seasonal Store and can be earned by levelling up your Battle Pass. Pick up antique and rare variants of attires for your hero, unit and weapon, and more.
-
Bronze:Bronze is the main currency in Conqueror’s Blade, and can be earned by completing quests, participating in battles, and selling items. It can be used to purchase items and heal your wounded Units.
-
LeadershipLeadership is your Hero’s capacity to command units. Each unit costs a fixed amount of Leadership to command, and the higher their power, the higher the cost. Players can craft armour that grants bonus leadership while equipped to allow more powerful units to join your Warband.
The Open World
While you’ll spend most of your time in the cities (or in battles!) you can always take a trip to the Open World to gather valuable resources and find treasures, but also encounter bandits and other players to combat, giving you much-needed experience.
Can You Play Solo?
Yes you can. While many players join a House (a guild in Conqueror’s Blade) or play in a group, for those wishing to go down the solo route, all is not lost. You can still become a fearsome Warlord all on your own with these tips.
-
Train:Training modes help to familiarise you with the core gameplay mechanics of Conqueror’s Blade.
-
Bandit Raids:Take on Bandit Raids to gain Fame, level up Units, and practice with your chosen weapon.
-
Expeditions:Expeditions offer challenging scenarios where you can join your allies in PvE combat.
