Classic PvP MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot will be opening up it’s RvR game to the masses pretty soon. Titled Endless Conquest, DAoC will be releasing a fully free to play mode that allows new players to enjoy the PvP up to the max level and realm rank. For those unaware, Dark Age of Camelot is considered as one of the pioneering MMORPGs to feature RvR or Realm versus Realm PvP. When you think of tri-faction PvP maps and modes, like Elder Scrolls Online’s Alliance War or Guild Wars 2’s World vs World, that’s what RvR means.
Plenty of MMOs have been inspired by DAoC over the years, and if you haven’t played it before, you can check it out this month. Prior to Endless Conquest, the game uses a subscription model. All new players with new accounts are eligible for Endless Conquest but there are a few restrictions that requires the monthly sub to unlock. These include housing, certain abilities and more playable races. For former subscribers, accounts that are inactive for over 180 days are also eligible to return for free.
This October will make a pretty exciting time for DAoC players overall as the game welcomes a new wave of players into the mix. If you can stomach the 18-year old graphics and gameplay, then check it out when it arrives. For a full FAQ about Endless Conquest, click here to learn more.
