Destiny 2 Console Open Beta Begins July 21st

If you own a PlayStation 4 or XBox One, Destiny 2 is coming to you. You lucky folks will be able to participate in the console open beta beginning July 21st.

Console players will also be eligible to take part in a shiny beta event. The event will allow players to immerse themselves in the “Homecoming” story mission. Besides that, all players will also have access to a 3-man Spire Strike. This is one of the early dungeons or team missions that players will encounter.
For competitive players, the Crucible will also be available in the console open beta. The crucible is an open field PvP arena where players go to test their builds and show their skills. As for official dates, the start of open beta will July 21st until July 23rd.
Players who are granted early access via preorder can start on July 18th for PS4 and July 19th for the XBox One. There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Destiny 2. From what we’ve seen so far, the game will have a higher quality story with improved game play. Interestingly, a lot of the dungeon designs are inspired by World of Warcraft. We cannot wait to see how that translates into the game at release.
