Destiny 2 Will Be Released On PC Alongside Consoles September 8th
Destiny 2 has been confirmed, with a trailer drop yesterday on top of some much awaited news for PC players. The game will be coming to PC and consoles on September 8th this year.
Bungie’s sequel to Destiny is already garnering hype, with the trailer getting over one million views in only a matter of hours. One can definitely analyze a lot from the trailer. The most obvious juicy tidbit is the subtle message that Zavala and Cayde-6 is giving us the players.
Amidst the action packed cinematic going on in between – on top of a new villain introduction as well as some backstory about the Tower – the two characters echo each other. Zavala is giving a pretty motivating and inspiring speech to his audience. And what I got from this is that there will be a richer story in the sequel. Hopefully, there will be a more satisfying campaign to enjoy the story with it too.
In Cayde-6’s pep talk to his audience, things take a lighter turn. He’s funny, witty and subtly telling players that hey if you like grinding the hard stuff for loot, Destiny 2 has that too. It’s a clever way how Bungie used visual storytelling mechanics to say a lot about the game without even saying it. I also enjoy this new attitude from the game, compared to Destiny’s boring and passive demeanor.
Players can already start pre-ordering the game from the official website. Other third party retailers are also carrying special pre-order editions. Anyone who purchases a pre-order copy will get to participate in the beta and early access. We cannot way to play this on the PC. What about you?
