Zenimax Online Studios has shared a preview about what ESO players can expect in the upcoming Dragonhold DLC, set to release in Q4 2019. Of what we know so far, the map will have three unique environment biomes, new delves, world bosses, quests, dragon hunts and of course the story finale. Dragonhold also boasts more rewards that any previous DLC zone which is good to hear, and they’ve tweaked plenty of things from the Elsweyr Chapter that should make players happy – one example they shared on Stream is the dragon hunt fights, and these new southern Elsweyr dragons are a lot more dynamic rather than static.

There won’t be any spoilery details here, so on a final note, the Dragonhold DLC will be on the PTS today, Monday, September 16th. It’s going to be quite a large patch if you’ve never played on PTS before, so make sure to set aside ample download storage space.

Now aside from the DLC, Update 24 also comes with the first wave of performance improvements to things like the LFG, combat system and memory management overhaul, which should improve crashes, combat responsiveness and the speed of the group finder tool. Finally for console players, Twitch drops are now available for you, so prepare to get free Orobouros loot boxes for catching a stream.

World of Warships: Legends have announced their first major update following their August Release featuring a new nation with new ships, commanders, and play-styles. In this update, the French Navy makes its debut, with the French Cruisers leading the way and the French Battleships appearing in early access. German Battleships are also released from early access, allowing players to work their way up to the legendary Bismarck! The update arrives September 16th, keeping the unending flood of content going.

The French Cruisers represent the core of the new French Navy and are renowned to be the most capable cruisers developed within the limits of the inter-war naval treaties. These cruisers are true speed demons with ships such as the Émile Bertin, capable of rocketing around the seas at an absurd 39 knots. These cruisers will certainly make waves in more ways than one thanks to their high speed and are packing a real punch—even at range! The French Battleships available in early access are both sleek and powerful. Their quadruple-gun turrets deliver intense salvos on any unfortunate enemies. Like the cruisers, the battleships are fast and able to respond quickly to incoming threats, making them some of the most adaptable battleships in the game.

To serve as captains for these new ships, some new French Commanders have joined the fray. These new commanders will help World of Warship: Legends players improve their French ships and bring new skills, giving them the opportunity to make even more powerful combinations.

The August release brought German Destroyers alongside an ambitious new campaign for the first Tier VII Premium ship. Naturally, to support the release of the French Navy players will get to take part in the new French Connection Campaign. The French Connection gives players the chance to earn more commanders and rewards for their fleet. Get various consumables, boosters, progression items, and Francs just by completing tasks in the campaign. Francs can be used to try and get early access to the French Battleships like the Lyon. This time around, the Admiralty Backing will massively increase the rewards from the campaign and will supply the player with one of the new French Commanders. This new campaign seems to be the perfect way for players to build their French navy.

Now players also get to individualize themselves on the high seas through the new patch system. In essence, you can create your own patch that will show off your achievements or style to every enemy you destroy.

German Battleships make their way out of early access in this update. Players can now get headed to the legendary battleship Bismarck at Tier VII. The German battleships are quite a force to be reckoned with and now everyone can get their hands on them!

The update brings quality of life improvements, balance changes, and the long-awaited 4K support for the Xbox One X. World of Warships: Legends in 4K resolution is a simply stunning experience.

There’s a big market for anime, JRPG and Manga MMORPGs. 2019 has seen some new entries joining existing staples, and here’s our updated top 5 picks for MMORPGs you should check out this year. Let’s begin.

Caravan Stories (PS4)

Now out on the PlayStation 4 for North America, Caravan Stories is a fun and relaxing MMO to play on your couch. This JRPG has over 2 million players in Japan, and let’s you play as a fantasy race selection comprising of Humans, Elves, Dwarves and more. Each race has a unique story-line but you can play other race stories too without creating alts. What’s unique about Caravan Stories is that you can recruit over 100 beasts and heroes to join your Caravan. Combat is party-based and and you’ll utilize your skills and tactics to defeat difficult raid bosses in the world and dungeons. You can play with others too, with a decent guild system and ranked PvP which is all about tower defense. And don’t forget to upgrade your Caravan! It follows you on your journey and you can build things within – from resource generation furniture to crafting stations. For a free to play MMO, Caravan Stories is worth checking out if you own a PS4!

Kurtzpel (PC)

KurtzPel is a fun 3rd Person, Anime-Inspired, Action Battle Game created by the developers of Grand Chase and Elsword Online. In KurtzPel, classic action game dynamics are enabled when players outfit their characters with 2, separate jobs (called Karma) that can be swapped out and utilized interchangeably, mid-combat. Players can enjoy various 2v2 PvP Modes; queued up by a smart, automated match-making system, player created 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 Custom Missions. Or, players can embark upon a larger-than-life, raid style, quest-driven battle system against big, bad boss monsters. Right now, the game is constantly being given new updates and recently got its guild feature to help bring the social parts of this MMO to life. It’s free to play model is decent, so let’s face it – you’re next waifu can be found here.

Blue Protocol (PC)

Anime and manga gamers the world over were pleasantly surprised when Bandai Namco announced Blue Protocol. This upcoming JRPG features a beatufil open world and action combat. Now throw in some sintillating character designs and art, and you have yourself a winner. The game recently underwent alpha tests back in July for Japan and the surrounding region, and no word has been released on wether or not players can expect a global launch. However, the good news is the game will definitely run on Unreal Engine 4. This simply means that it’s going to look amazing, much like a full-blown anime movie, according to regional critics. The studio is still deciding if it will be free to play or pay to play, so check back for future updates on this.

Aura Kingdom (PC)

This game offers you the chance to become the hero that saves the universe of Aura Kingdom from the grips of evil as well as from the bandits who, after being expelled for years have now returned with even more power than ever. The game lets you choose one of 8 different classes and one of 7 different companions , or “Ediolons” who fight at your side. The game has something for all different tastes, leaving the player with a remarkable sense of choice.

The game is most suited for children as most of the human characters in the game are young. It seems the makers of the game tried to appeal to younger gamers and kind of set aside the wants of more mature, sophisticated gamers. Taking into consideration the more RPG like choices and battle system, it’s best for each individual player to form their own opinions about the game’s childlike traits.

Twin Saga (PC)

Twin Saga features 10 different classes that players can swap between freely at any time without cost or restriction. Player housing also takes a different approach – the Terracottage is a mobile house that can move like mounts, and is a place where guilds and friends can hang out, gather materials and even craft. It is a fairly good MMORPG that contains rich lore and story that is complemented by a fast-paced action combat system that suits the art style. There’s plenty to do in PVE ranging from hidden quests, Astral Adventures and Dungeons, while the competitive players can try their hand at PVP in arenas or battlegrounds. Ultimately, Twin Saga should be credited for its fresh approach but doesn’t do enough to stand out from the MMORPG crowd.

Targem Games & Gaijin Entertainment has announced the release of Content Update 0.10.80 for the post apocalyptic online action game, Crossout. Players will meet the final Horseman of the Apocalypse, try the Chemical plant map and participate in a new competition among engineers.

The new PvP map for Crossout features dusty industrial buildings, rusty pipes, dangerous chemical tanks and the remnants of a caravan destroyed by an artillery strike. Armoured cars navigate from cover to cover and clash for control over three key points: the railway station, the caravan explosion epicenter and the chemical workshop.

The fourth and final armoured car of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse belongs to Marina Pokrovskaya better known as Pestilence. She was a doctor once trying to battle a plague that killed one settlement after another When Marina ran out of medicine, she had only one remedy left – fire.

The elite pack “Crossout — Horsemen of Apocalypse: Pestilence” will be available in the game store from September 12th to November 14th. It includes the armoured car “Pestilence machine” (equipped with the epic flamethrower “Remedy”), the garage of The Four Horsemen, cosmetic items and Marina’s portrait.

Lastly, the game menu now has a tab called “Clash of Engineers” that is basically a hub of various thematic armoured car construction contests. For example, right now players are trying to figure out what could be the “The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse” and how their car would look. This clash does not require any shooting at all: the winner is chosen by a player vote.

Guild Wars 2’s next Living World Season is almost upon us. Revealed during PAX West last month, ArenaNet teased the arrival of the next story chapter in Guild Wars 2, the Icebrood Saga. Free for all players who own the Path of Fire expansion, the prologue begins on September 17th. Here’s why we’re excited for the brand new chapter.

The Storyline Continues

The Icebrood Saga marks the beginning of a new adventure in Guild Wars 2’s storyline. It is a time of tentative celebration for all the races of Tyria in the wake of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik’s heroic defeat by the members of Dragon’s Watch. But whispers from the Northern Shiverpeaks tell tales of ancient forces stirring from their slumber. While the Sons of Svanir—a renegade cult of norn who have turned away from worshipping the Spirits of the Wild—devote themselves to the elder ice dragon Jormag, stories of the dragon’s strength and virtues begin to spread alongside its corrupting influence.

A New Map

Another good source of excitement is seeing places we’ve not been to yet in Guild Wars 2. The prologue will take us to Grothmar Valley. What we know from the trailers and teasers so far is that it’s the staging ground for a massive Charr celebration. We’re hoping the Valley offers all the usual nooks and crannies one can expect from maps in Guild Wars 2. We’d love nothing more than to explore and chance upon plenty of organic events that ties into the zone and story. Plus, seeing a rock concert up close and personal couldn’t hurt! With a new map, expect new achievements to hunt and collect as well.

Strike Missions

The Icebrood Saga will introduce a wealth of new features, including Strike Missions, which are epic 10-man boss encounters that combine the group coordination skills of raids with the large-scale conflict of a Guild Wars 2 meta event. New boss creatures will also populate the environments of Grothmar Valley and the Northern Shiverpeaks, including the ominous, newly-awakened Drakkar first seen in the original Guild Wars, while new Masteries will be available in Episode One and Episode Two that will explore the history and influence of the Spirits of the Wild, the mystic animal deities of the norn.

Upcoming Systems Changes

Beyond just the new story and map in the prologue, Guild Wars 2 is also looking to shake things up elsewhere. They just recently bumped up the Chef crafting profession to level 500 which is a good start. Chefs can now cook Ascended level food that’s awesome – they are 1 hour long buffs of multiple stats that everyone in the vicinity can enjoy. Plus, it had an interesting journey to 500, which is more than what the other crafting professions could offer. In the future, we can look forward to build templates and some WvW pvp changes that have been outlined recently. Additionally, we have the world restructuring and alliances in the works too. Overall, Guild Wars 2 can look ahead to an exciting for the MMORPG in Tyria, and it all begins with the new Icebrood Saga arriving next week!

Phoenix Labs has announced that Dauntless will be launching out of early access cone September 26, reigning in a new era for the ever-evolving, Behemoth-slaying, co-op action RPG on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. September 26 will also mark the beginning of a new chapter in Dauntless with a major new seasonal expansion, “Aether Unbound.” The update will bring an all-new weapon, Behemoth, Hunt Pass, bounty system and more to the game.

Phoenix Labs prides itself on transparency and its attention to player feedback, the latter of which has informed many of the game’s extensive iterations – from combat and progression to the experience, world, and story. With its most recent update (which introduced saved loadouts, a crafting UI overhaul, improvements to transmogs, a new exotic weapon, and more) it has prepared the ground for its official entry into 1.0 on September 26.

After Dauntless exits early access, the living game will continue to grow and expand with new content, seasonal updates, and Hunt Passes, which will provide players with a steady flow of new content to enjoy for years to come. The next season, Aether Unbound, will release alongside Dauntless’ 1.0 launch on September 26, bringing brand new content – including the new weapon, aether strikers – along with it. Slayers will also have the opportunity to unleash the aether strikers on a powerful new Dire Behemoth, Tempestborne Stormclaw, which makes its way to the Shattered Isles as part of the new season. Aether Unbound will also offer a different way to hunt and earn valuable experience with the new bounty system, in addition to offering Slayers a new Hunt Pass packed with in-game rewards. Aether Unbound is just the beginning of an exciting new phase in the Dauntless journey. The team is already hard at work on new features, the following season, and more – all coming later this year. The latest monthly update to Sea of Thieves has arrived and of course, it’s completely free for players. Available starting today, the Sumuggler’s Fortune update brings players a host of fresh content including new Voyages to complete and loot to claim, unique pirate and ship cosmetics and adorable animal sidekicks. But what else is new? Read on and find out.

Pirate Emporium

A prominent feature of this new update is the Pirate Emporium, a premium store that can be accessed from the home screen or from any Outpost in the game. Stocking all sorts of must-have pirate accessories, the Pirate Emporium also introduces a range of utterly charming pet monkeys and parrots to the Sea of Thieves.

Brand New Adventures

Starting with Smuggler’s Fortune, the Bilge Rats’ Mercenary Voyages will not only be free to accept but will allow you to actually earn Doubloons. This month’s Rag and Bone Voyages offer a special twist on Cargo Runs, setting crews on course for Shipwreck Bay to locate hidden crates which need delivering to various Seaposts. But beware: time is of the essence to get these to their destinations, and yours won’t be the only crew heeding the call.

Fresh Cosmetics

Get the pirate look you’ve always wanted with the introduction of the Pirate Emporium and Black Market. The Pirate Emporium is a new premium store where pirates can acquire exclusive cosmetic items, emotes and pets using a new currency, Ancient Coins (purchasable through the Xbox store or directly in-game). Treat yourself to a loyal sidekick in the form of a pet parrot or monkey. Express yourself through a range of new emotes. Or show off your ship with unique liveries, beginning with the Bear & Bird livery set, inspired by Rare’s beloved Banjo-Kazooie series.

Elsewhere, spend your hard-earned Doubloons on special cosmetics newly smuggled into Duke’s Black Market, including variants of sets that were previously time-limited. This month gives players a chance to grab the Fearless Bone Crusher items, sure to appeal to anyone who missed the original set last year. If gold is all you have, Duke will accept that for some of his other ever-changing wares, starting this month with Deep Ocean Crawler weapons.

All New Loot and Riches

There’s more loot at large on the seas than ever before. Increase your pirate fortune by taking down Ancient Skeletons, rare new enemies who carry Ancient Coins that can be spent in the Pirate Emporium. You can also send roaming Skeleton Sloops back to the depths and lay claim to their hoards of treasure. So following hot on the heels of loot being added to Barrels of Plenty and the emergence of the Reaper’s Chest, there are more riches than ever just waiting to be found… or stolen! The Pirate Emporium and Black Market are both permanent additions to the game, while Rag and Bone Voyages are temporary and will be replaced by new activities when Sea of Thieves’ next update arrives in October.

For more information about the new update, check out the official website post here.
