]]> An update to Warframe has introduced Prime Resurgence, offering players an opportunity to instantly unlock or earn an elite selection of 18 Prime Warframes through the release of the critically acclaimed action game’s next cinematic expansion, The New War, in December. A first-of-its-kind Prime Unvaulting program for Warframe, Prime Resurgence offers players unprecedented access to a collection of Prime Warframes and Prime Gear previously retired from Warframe’s reward tables, giving players a chance to level up their arsenal before The New War arrives. Throughout the program, players can gain access to some of Warframe’s most elusive Warframes and gear, bringing back long-awaited Prime Warframe’s from the Prime Vault and debuting a collection of gear for the first time on Nintendo Switch.

Players who have discovered Warframe’s free AAA single-player Cinematic Quest have become enamored by its gripping story of self identity filledA with epic plot twists and non-stop action. The biggest story-based update in Warframe’s 8-year history, The New War, will extend the thrilling personal space opera for players to ‘discover their power within’ through a cinematic chapter several years in the making. To help players prepare for the continuation of their journey, Varzia Dax has ventured into the Origin System’s Maroo’s Bazaar, opening a shop to help Tenno enact the Prime Resurgence and assemble the Prime Warframes who lay dormant in recovered Orokin technology.

A last chance opportunity to instantly unlock or earn the Prime Warframes and gear offered during Prime Resurgence will become available to players at the end of the program.

]]> Hunter’s Arena: Legends, the hit melee battle royale set in ancient East Asia, will host its first official tournament for players looking to prove themselves as the deadliest hunter of all.

Available in the US, the Solo mode tournament boasts a $3,000 prize pool. It will be held on Sunday, September 5 and includes both elimination rounds and the grand finale.

Mantisco, the developer behind the game, notes that this is a fan-requested tournament, and not an official entry into eSports, which is planned for the future.

Additionally, a new Duo mode will be available as an event the following week after a high number of requests. After the event, Duo mode may become an official mode in the future.

David Yoon, the head of Mantisco: “These modes and tournaments are held as an event for now but we are planning to officially implement them as playable modes while also officially becoming an e-Sport.”

]]> Digital Extremes is infesting Warframe with loads of new anticipated content on September 8 through the release of Nidus Prime Access and the return of Operation: Plague Star, offering players a chance to instantly unlock or earn access to the powered-up Prime variant of Warframe Nidus. Also debuting in the Warframe Marketon September 8 is the Revenant Mephisto Collection – a unique alternative skin for the Revenant Warframe designed by popular Warframe fan and freelance artist Debby Sheen that features a completely overhauled Revenant appearance, including geometry changes and textures.

The ravening plague-bearer Nidus Prime returns in a long-unseen form and seething with a primal strain of the Infestation as the 33rd Prime Warframe release, featuring altered Mod polarities and offering greater customization to players. Nidus Prime, his Prime Weapons, and exclusive Prime Customizations will be available as an instant unlock on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Returning September 8 and running through September 30 is the popular Operation: Plague Star event. For a limited time, players can rally together to defend the Plains of Eidolon against Infested lifeforms before they make their way to Cetus. The cruelest of weapons built for the crudest of Grineer soldiers, the Ghoulsaw will be available as a player reward for participating in Operation: Plague Star, allowing players to rip through metal like flesh and through flesh like day-old pudding. Featuring a multitude of aerial attacks, slide attacks, and heavy-hitting combos, this is not a weapon players will want to miss out on adding to their Arsenals. During this three-week limited-event, players participating in Operation: Plague Star will also have the chance to receive Nidus Prime Relics in drops, adding an additional bonus path to earning Nidus Prime in Warframe.

]]> Punishing action role-playing game, Thymesia, from OverBorder Studio, is to be published under Team17’s independent games label. Today’s partnership announcement will see the studio’s debut title arrive on PC later this year. Set against a world ravaged by a plague, Thymesia will challenge players with fast-paced melee combat while they unravel the mysteries that haunt the harrowingly beautiful world.

At the heart of the story is Corvus, a mysterious character capable of seizing enemy diseases and using them as weapons against his adversaries; players will engage in visceral combat, combining ferocious offensive abilities, perfectly timed parries, and dynamic dodges to take down unforgiving enemies. Players will also have the ability to customise Corvus to their own play style, upgrading and improving various stats to aid in their journey to recover Corvus’ memories.
 
Thymesia Key Features:

  • Weaponising diseases: As Corvus, players can seize diseases from enemies and wield them as deadly weapons
  • Engaging combat: Players will need to use their entire arsenal to avoid death; dodging attacks and parrying at precisely the right time will be instrumental to survival
