These even tokens can either be consumed for a quick buff, or hoarded and cashed in for several rewards from the event vendors. The event ends on the 14th of July, so AION players have a bout a month to start getting frosty.

ESO Greymoor Chapter

Up first is The Elder Scrolls Online, which will be launching its 4th Chapter, the second update of this year’s Dark Heart of Skyrim year-long adventure called Greymoor. Players will be heading back to Western Skyrim to investigate mysterious happenings all over the region, including the depths of Blackreach. It’s an new dark, broody and gothic story line which we’ve not seen before!

Additionally, the chapter has revamped the Vampire skill line complelety, and adds more flavor to the gameplay experience and what it means to be a creature of the night in ESO. Expect plenty of new PvE content too, from new delves and bosses on the landscapes, to Harrowstorms and Trials and public dungeons of course. The Chapter arrives on the 27th of May.

Guild Wars 2: No Quarter Episode 3 of the Icebrood Saga.

In ArenaNet’s Guild Wars 2, brand new content is coming our way on the 27th of May too, forcing ESO and GW2 players who play both games to make a difficult decision! The third episode of the Icebrood Saga, known as No Quarter, will launch next week and brings a new map to play on, the Drizzlewood Coast.

This new map plays unlike anything else released recently, and it has a push-and-pull World vs World feel where players will battle NPCs for strategic locations on the map to earn resources, when not playing through the main story – which also tackles a Char civil war that’s been brewing for months now. Expect all new rewards to earn in the form of armor, weapons and skins.

Fractured May 2020 Open Free Test

Upcoming isometric sandbox MMORPG Fractured has some great news. It will be opening up its next test phase to everyone, free of charge, on the 28th of May, and all you need is to register for an account. Fractured is a living breathing world where players can build, craft and survive using skill you can earn and learn from simply interacting with the world and through defeating monsters on the landscape.

It has a decent community so far and there’s plenty of exciting features ahead that will be coming over time as the game continues its alpha test transition. Fractured backers can jump in two days earlier on the 26th of May, and if you want to grab a founder’s pack, click here.

AION

Aion North America has a major update coming for players of this free to play MMORPG, known as the Shadows over Balaurea, which launches on the 27^th of May. For those up-to-date with current story, your pursuit of Inanna continues, with a major revamp happening to the land of Balaurea, with Inggision, Gelkamoros and the Silentra Canyon seeing changes. There’s new instances too like the new 6-player Alter of Ascension which drops new Burning Altar accessories, on top of a new PvP battleground, the chaotic Vale, which is stat-equalized. In other areas, you can expect new systems like Renown, which unlocks more travel portals, merchants, quests and other benefits for leveling up renown ranks, that can be done through killing monsters and questing throughout Baluarea

TERA Southeast Asia Launch

Release: November 1

After many years since launch, TERA will finally be opening up a new version and server in Southeast Asia, following in the footsteps of Black Desert Online. Therefore, players in the SEA region now can experience the game with lower and more stable ping. This will be a deciding factor for large amount of players deciding if it is worth it to make the switch to the SEA version of the game. TERA, is a free-to-play action fantasy MMORPG developed by Bluehole, well-known game developer from South Korea. It brings the players to the fantasy world with the brilliant 3D graphic. Players explore a vast open world where their combo skills are showing against Big Ass Monsters.

Lord of the Rings Online: Legendary Worlds

Release: November 2018

The Lord of the Rings Online will launch it’s fresh start progression server in November 2018. Legendary Worlds will transport players back to 2007’s Shadows of Angmar vanilla content. It’s a period that many will fondly remember due to the difficulty, lack of modern headache inducing systems and the plethora of group content. Simply put, the LOTRO’s vanilla content is what put it on the map. While the live servers are free, the Legendary Worlds will not follow suit. Players will need a $15 monthly subscription to play on it. Since its announcement last week, there’s a real buzz surrounding LOTRO’s community and among former players to return.

EverQuest II Chaos Descending Expansion

Release: November 13

Chaos Descending is the next expansion for classic MMORPG EverQuest 2 which players can already pre-order. Players who do say will gain immediate Beta access to the expansion content. Chaos Descending will officially launch on Tuesday, November 13th. The new features of the Chaos Descending expansion includes:

• Expanded Lore: Something is throwing the Elemental Planes of Order into chaos! Norrathians return to the planes to restore balance to the planes of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth to uncover a mystery of Celestial proportions.
• New Elemental Planes to Explore: New zones, dungeon themes, signature adventure quests, raids, and more highlight a vast array of new story content for Norrathians to battle through. But will they gain the strengths and abilities necessary to defeat the ceaseless denizens of the Elemental Planes and the puppet master behind them?

AION: Awakened Legacy

Release: Already out

Aion: Awakened Legacy, the game’s biggest update in 2018, has arrived and is now live. All Daevas can log in today and experience a brand new Aion. With the new Aion: Awakened Legacy update players will enjoy a refreshing and simplified experience that improves all aspects of the game. Veteran Daevas will find their level cap increased to 80, and will be introduced to a mysterious new zone and a deadly new dungeon that will test their newfound powers.

Gameforge Implementing Community Feedback
The update is, first and foremost, a response to community feedback. It brings an expansive amount of content and substantial improvements to the level and skill systems. ‘The update offers AION fans exactly what they have wanted for so long’, said a thrilled player, who has already tested the update. ‘Less grind and more fun; faster and more efficient levelling and better PvP balance’, added another fan.

‘NCSOFT and Gameforge have taken fan wishes seriously and have invested everything in improving the game experience massively’, said Thomas Schöltzel, Product Director at Gameforge. ‘We are really proud to present the players an AION that calls back to its origins and yet at the same time, shines brighter than ever.’

Two Weeks of Testing and Feedback in the Beta Phase 
Players have been able to get a taste of the new AION since the 5th September by testing the update in a game environment created especially for this purpose. During these two weeks all voluntary testers received generous support to enable them to play up to and then try out high-level content.

The European update 6.0 corresponds to the Korean version 6.2, where all bug fixes and finishing work on the huge update have already been implemented. Players in Europe will therefore be presented with ‘A New Dawn’, a complete version containing all 6.0 content and its polishing.

The age-old tradition of larger-than-life cakes will be returning to the capital cities. Grabbing a slice of cake will grant you 100% bonus XP and a 20% bonus drop rate for 2 hours. Be sure to swing by on Aion’s special Daeva Day, September 22, to get a super-boosted cake buff granting 200% bonus XP and a 50% drop rate for 6 hours!  The cake boosts will stack with the server wide boosts as well. Please note the cake boosts will not be granted if you have an active amulet or Lucky Hands boost.

Kromede’s Revenge – September 12 to October 3

Kromede’s Revenge will be returning for the celebration. Infiltrate the Smoldering Fire Temple with two of your best Daevas for sweet rewards.

Anniversary Bonus Boosts – September 19 to September 26

All the following boosts will be active on the servers:

Aion is preparing for a massive new expansion, Omens of Ice. The new content expansion will launch on July 19th, bringing a bunch of new content for players to enjoy.

There will be a few new instances in the update. Everyone, from solo players all the way up to 96 players can take part. Most of the instances will be on rotation, and are available multiple times a week. The website is now previewing all the new instances, and you can check it out with this link here.

In addition to new instances, the update is also bringing more features. It will add 2 new PvP arenas as well as Minions. Minions are battle pets that can be upgraded and used to pick up items. This system is also seen on other MMORPGs that make use of pets in gameplay.

Besides that, there are also updates to existing systems such as the UI for tooltips and enchanting. Overall, Omens of Ice looks to be a beefy update that will keep players busy for the foreseeable future.
