Venturing into the Valleys comes with a level cap increase, new maps, dungeons, events, and much more. Players can start the new year in Aura Kingdom with new challenges and an increased level cap – the maximum level is now Slv25 (125). Four new fame quests will be handed out by Mirabelle and they’ll allow access to the dungeons Hidden Crystals Cave, Ancestral Spirits Temple, Otherworld: Glacial Ice Cavern and Otherworld: Subterranean Sanctuary. These quests can be completed every day but only once per day.

New Map: Snow Crystal Plains

A city famous for its crystal and unique scenery. Winter is still in full swing here! However, for all its breathtaking beauty, it has never been a place of peace. Here, the past and present are of no importance.

New Map: Deep Hidden Valley

The density of the majestic trees hides most of the sunlight – as if they didn’t want the sun’s rays to reach the people down below. The atmosphere is peaceful, but there is something unsettling about it! Players should get ready to fish, collect, dig, cook, learn the stories of the villagers and receive many new achievements!

New Dungeon: Deer Valley

The once Avian Artifact Sanctuary is now completely overrun by dangerous monsters, who lie in wait for their next prey.

New Dungeon: Blue Valley Secret Realm

The landscape will enchant players with blue plants filling the valley and moss covering every stone step. Looking up, they will see a beautiful golden glow spread throughout the forest. But not all is bliss. Little by little, this beautiful energy has been corrupted by an evil aura that begins to rise from deep within the forest.

Eidolon Story Dungeon “Alucard”

Further adventures await with a group of otters digging holes in Cactakara Forest and a horde of sea creatures invading the north side of the Helonia Coast.

In no particular order, the following gamigo games are currently holding Halloween-themed events:

• Trove – Shadow’s Eve has arrived in Trove! The event features a number of new quests, including an 11-part adventure where players help new allies – the Order of the Moon – fight off the werewolf curse of Quberus, a new Delve Biome (The Wolves’ Den), new enemies to combat, and new vendors. Several fan favorites are also returning, such as Explosive Pumpkins, Tasty Candy Corn, and pumpkin dungeons.
• Fiesta Online – A tricky new Halloween maze awaits players in gamigo’s anime MMORPG, Fiesta Online, that hopefully won’t cause them to go mad as they attempt to avoid spooky pumpkins on their way through the Maze of Madness! The keeper of the maze, Pumpkin Bob awaits players in the center to offer rich rewards as long as they can win this battle.
• Aura Kingdom – The Hauntings of Azuria have caused plenty of monsters, wolves, and undead to pop up and it’s up to players to fight them off. A Halloween Letter Collection Event, several creepy dungeon crawls, updates to the Bard and Reaper, and plenty of additional holiday-themed events await you in the land of Azuria.
• Last Chaos – Watch out! There are pumpkins and scarecrows looking to cause havoc to players foolish enough to cross their path! Halloween has found its way into the dark fantasy world of Last Chaos from October 26 until November 08, 2021! Players can collect the pumpkin head from the scarecrow to help gather pumpkins, and then take them back to the spooky strawman to receive their treats. He also takes empty baskets and exchanges them for candy. Watch out, because the giant pumpkin boss can appear at any time… he drops a special parchment with a spell on creating a pumpkin pet! Those feeling brave may want to follow Abraxas, the Demon Knight, to the Lost City in Dratan for some Halloween-themed rewards.
• Shaiya – It’s zombie hour in Shaiya! The invading undead need to be defeated quickly but beyond that, players shouldn’t forget to help Pin, Fuse and Lug with their quests! But who doesn’t like a pumpkin spiced zombie smoothie for Halloween? Players collect Bronze, Silver and Golden Pumpkins to craft the permanent wings “The Nightmare before Halloween” and much more. And what’s that waiting there, deep in the desert… a new boss?! Halloween in Shaiya takes place between October 26 and November 21, 2021.
• RIFT – It’s Autumn Harvest once again in gamigo’s epic fantasy MMORPG, RIFT, between October 21 and November 18, 2021. It’s time to change your wardrobe into something scary to prepare for Halloween… jack-o-lanterns and skulls all around, please! Players have to complete weekly and daily quests and earn event currency to buy spooky mounts, eerie pets, accessories, devilish costumes and much more!
• Echo of Soul – Autumn celebrations are all around Friggard in MMORPG Echo of Soul – but something spooky… something twisted has slowly crept into this world, casting its shadow upon the realm. Between October 20 and November 24, 2021, players can travel to Bernicia and talk to its citizens about Halloween. Doing so will lead them on their path to help drive away Kostus, the Halloween Party disruptor and to receive rich rewards.

With so many tricks and treats awaiting players across multiple gamigo games, on Twitch, and online, we recommend having several candy buckets available for the avalanche of rewards that can be earned. Just don’t earn too much at once or else you might end up with a tummy ache.

The 50th-anniversary update for Aura Kingdom offers new Masteries and additional Levels in Vault of Eternia. Daring Heroes now can band together and explore the famous dungeon in party mode. Gaia Chronicle is a fun new mini-game for advanced adventurers, coming to the online RPG with patch 50.

The gamigo group celebrates the 50th content update with amazing events. Among other feature updates, players can join the daily parade in Navea, where Eidolons show off their dancing skills on the colorfully decorated wagons, handing out buffs to all attendees. Final dungeon bosses reward the players with Sacred Beast Meat, which they can use to summon unique monsters that drop precious Anniversary Coins.

Since February, players can experience the contents of patch 49 and its three individual dungeons. New Portals to the Otherworld have appeared in the World of Aura Kingdom opening the paths to the dark dungeons Chronowood Cavernand Shattered Netherworld. The third dungeon, Candetonn Hill stands in stark contrast to these shadowy dungeons, taking players to a bright and colorful world filled with fluffy sheep. There they can find new challenges and rewards in the form of orange and golden Awakening Items.

The two updates also bring additional fixes for a smoother game experience in Aura Kingdom. The Cart-Duel-System has been optimized with three new modes and numerous bug fixes. More information about Aura Kingdom and the updates 49 and 50 can be found on the official website.

• Combat System

Although many anticipated that the game combat system relies on free non-targeting combat system, that is not the case. In fact it is the latter where players are tab on to their targets and initiate skills. Some skills to require aiming to avoid pulling large aggro and proper distance. The game’s theme is completely anime-styled in a more 3D environment with the typical flashy movements and skills. Also each character has the option to “fly” much like Revelations Online. But in reality, it is more like jumping really high and gliding in the air to travel around the map. It isn’t fancy but still, I think I’ll take it! Plus, this allows you to save money as it travels almost or equally fast to mounts.

• Classes and customization options

Aura Kingdom allows you to choose between 14 different classes and best part is, none of the classes are gender-locked. Thank God! Depending on your play style, you much choose which class would suit you the most but usually in tab-targeting systems, range heroes or tanky heroes are the best option unless you have access to the stores. Character customization seem to vary but is actually limited as to ensure the characters stay within the parameters to better suit the theme of the game. That is partly fair but what if I wanted to create a really fat chubby and lovable tank? Oh well, better not ruin the image of the game.

As for skills, each class is not limited as to how they should build their talent or skill tree. Thus, players are able to select and choose what sort of combination and explore their options. Similarly, players can share their “build” with other players.

More of the customization require in-game store bought items. As far as I am concerned, I do not think that trading of in-game currency is allowed so players should or must pay in order to enjoy these perks.

• Pet/Companion/Mount feature?

At the start of the game, you are given the options to choose Eidolons. Eidolons are basically pets and companions that provides you stat points as they level and evolve along your journey. You are given the option of a young male sprite-like creature, a chibi female mage, a dragon and a unicorn. A unicorn and dragon! The two fabled creatures that have peeked my interest. Note that your companions do not just passively hit over time, but they have skills as well. You have an awesome skill that requires a partnership between you and your Eidolon to execute, dealing a ton of damage. That is pretty cool!

• Story, quests and character development.

As expected from a cute-and-cool anime styled MMORPG, the story quest or the main line of quest is more comical with a twist of cynical to it. Quests are not limited to kill and collect, but also interactive with NPCs with a short but rich backstory. The developers keep it short and simple to ensure they the long text do not bore out the players, allowing them to progress while keeping touch with their character’s story.

It seems the game does not require interaction or role-playing with other players, allowing players to grind and solo almost every monster. This really disrupts the immersion of the character and defeats the purpose of an MMO, that is to cooperate and play with other characters. The cutscenes also seem to only focus on your characters which ignore your companions or party.

As it is an Asian MMORPG, auto-pathing feature also exist in the quest system. To be honest, many players complain about this feature because they compare it to the botting system. Just clarifying this once and for all, this is not similar to botting system. This feature merely leads your character to the NPC to clear your quest or to the location of interest. I personally like this feature as I would like to save my energy, preparing myself for battle and strategic button clicking.

Summary

All in all, I would say this game was pretty cool. For those who are interested in anime-styled tab-targeting MMOs, do not stray away from this game. Try it out, you might like it. I know I did enjoy it.
