Rainbow Six Extraction’s First Post Launch Event Spillover Goes Live

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Extraction’s first post-launch Crisis Event, Spillover, is available today. Crisis Events are major, limited time events where players face unique large-scale threats in the Containment Zone.

As Sprawl Colonies spread across the hot zones, players must use the new Dissolution Agent canisters to draw out waves of enemies and wipe out colonies of the alien Sprawl. To face off against the hordes of Archaeans descending upon them, a strategic and defensive approach is crucial to survival. All players who login during Spillover will have a chance to earn the exclusive new REACT tech: the Auto-Turret, a deployable turret that automatically targets and attacks Archaeans.

Alongside Spillover, Zofia arrives today in Extraction. A beloved Rainbow Six Operator, Zofia is known for her highly skilled survival techniques and will be a crucial asset to the Rainbow Six Extraction roster both in Spillover and main game. By equipping additional defense REACT tech to Zofia’s Grenade Launcher, players can increase their chances for a successful incursion.

Spillover is the first of many Crisis Events and updates to come to Rainbow Six Extraction. Players can jump in now with their squad via Game Pass on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and Windows PC, as well as on PlayStation^®5, PlayStation^®4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, Ubisoft+, the Ubisoft Store, and the Epic Games Store.

New FPS CROWZ Will Hold Open Beta During Steam Next Fest

ThumbAge has announced its Open Beta test of “CROWZ”, the PC open-world shooting game, has started at Steam Next Fest.

The Open Beta test will be held during Steam Next Fest from February 21st to 28th(UTC-9) and individuals 18 years of age and older will be available to download the game.

All participants who join the test and complete the survey will earn special in-game t-shirts, and a chance to achieve their nickname first exclusively.

In addition, ThumbAge will hold a Stream Live event that rewards ‘Welcome Kit’ to players who find developers in the game and upload the screenshot on their social network during the Open Beta test.

The Open Beta test features Squad Operation’s ‘Blue Whale’ map that requires a 4-person squad and ‘Blood Zone’s ‘Sellrain Valley’ that separates 64 people into two teams.

In Squad Operation, players must collect ‘Q-on’, which is the core of the background story, and escape. Another mode ‘Blood Zone’, a large-scale siege war, demands to reach a specific score or the camp with more points at the end wins.

Beta players will be given some cash points to enjoy various contents freely during the test period, experiencing most of the weapons and equipment in advance.

New State’s February Update Brings New Mode, Survivor Pass and More

The February Update for NEW STATE MOBILE is live on Android and iOS. With this update comes the new Round Deathmatch(RDM) Mode, a 4v4 round-based experience that sees teams compete to be the last one standing. This update also adds Survivor Pass Vol. 4, new MP5K and Crossbow weapons, updates to the in-game clan system and more.

Round Deathmatch: RDM is a 4v4 round-based mode. Unlike traditional deathmatch modes, players will not respawn after being eliminated. The team with the last player standing each round wins that round. Teams will compete in a best of seven series to see who ultimately wins the match. In RDM, each team will start each round on opposite sides of the Arena – a new map dedicated to RDM – with a set of basic weapons. Like typical battle royale matches, a Blue Zone will form at the start of a round and gradually to the center of the map as a round progresses.

Survivor Pass Vol. 4: With this update, players can now progress through the new Survivor Pass to earn a variety of in-game rewards. With this Survivor Pass, players can complete a series of faction-themed missions, which focuses on Doug Bikerway of the Mayhem biker gang, which is one of the arms-dealing factions in NEW STATE MOBILE. Players who complete the story missions can earn the Doug Bikerway skin.

New Weapons – MP5K and Crossbow: The MP5K is a 9mm-based SMG that can be equipped with a variety of attachments to help manage recoil. The silent, long-range Crossbow is also now available as a field drop in the Troi and Erangel 2052 maps.

New Weapon Customizations: With this update, the M249 weapon can now be customized with a new shield attachment that fits on the side of its handguard and prevents enemy fire from destroying the weapon. This customization results in a slightly slower ADS time, however.
Clan System Adjustments: Recommended clans will now focus on a Clan Masters’ nationality to help players match with clans of common nationalities. Players can now search for clans based on that parameter to find one that best suits them. A Clan Masters can now also set their Clan Emblem using a variety of symbols, backgrounds and colors, with more options that will be added later. These Clan Emblems will be displayed on the “recommended clan page” as well as in a clan member’s profile pages.

World War 3 Is Hosting a Free Public Stress Test Until February 7

MY.GAMES and The Farm 51 invite everyone to participate in the Public Stress Test of their tactical online FPS World War 3 this upcoming weekend on Steam and the MY.GAMES Store. It will run from February 3 at 13:00 CET/12:00 GMT/04:00 PT/07:00 ET until February 7 at 13:00 CET/12:00 GMT/04:00 PT/07:00 ET.

World War 3 aims to offer a fully authentic tactical experience evocative of real warfare while still being accessible. The game features weapons modelled on those used by real militaries around the world. Realistic gameplay features like ballistics, physics, and full body awareness combine to create a truly authentic and immersive modern combat experience.

The World War 3 CBT launched last November and is available to players with Closed Beta packages and those who purchased the game during its initial Early Access release on Steam. The Public Stress Test will help prepare World War 3 for its Open Beta in March 2022.

During the Public Stress Test, players will be able to progress through the whole World War 3 Closed Beta, which includes full access to two modes and four maps: Team Deathmatch in Berlin and Warsaw, as well as Tactical Ops in Berlin, Warsaw, Moscow and Polyarny. Also, players who participate in World War 3 Public Stress Test between February 3 and February 7 will receive an exclusive reward – LWH Dark Helmet.
To acquire access to the Public Stress Test, players can download World War 3 for free from MY.GAMES on February 3 or request access on Steam. To participate, players will need a MY.GAMES account which will be automatically generated for Steam users when launching the game.

Players will have an option to keep all their progress made during the Public Stress Test and retain access to the game throughout the rest of the Closed Beta by purchasing CBT Packs. Starting with the OBT launch scheduled for March 2022, World War 3 will reset all player progress and switch to a free-to-play distribution model.

Splitgate’s Beta Season 1 Featuring Custom Map Creator is Now Live

1047 Games has released Splitgate’s Beta Season 1, with it introducing an array of new features, modes and enhancements including a custom map creator to the hugely popular free-to-play shooter. Beta Season 1 also introduces a completely reimagined Foregone Destruction map, bringing the arena up to an exemplary AAA standard to which the whole game will eventually evolve. The new season is available across PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles and is completely free.

A brand new trailer released today takes players through the quick action of all-new modes, Evolution and One Flag Capture-the-Flag, and showcases the dynamic new map creator:

Splitgate Beta Season 1’s introduction of a custom map creator allows players to create and play their own maps, including the ability to co-create maps with eight friends simultaneously and share maps with friends. The map creator gives players the option to create and place objects, weapons, spawns, building blocks, portal walls and more. It also allows rotation and magnetic-snapping between scenery to make placing objects easier. Featuring fully customizable controller and mouse and keyboard support, the map creator can be accessed by all players. The map creator is part of the new season and fans can jump in now and start creating and sharing maps.

Today Beta Season 1 sees a complete AAA reimagining of the Foregone Destruction map, which displays an eye-popping fidelity and overall design indicative of what fans can expect from future updates. Live today are Evolution and One Flag Capture-the-Flag game modes, bringing the total number of game modes offered by Splitgate to 21. Paladins has just launched Season 5, with some brand new content like a new hero, changes to gameplay mechanics and more! Here’s everything you need to know about Paladin’s Season 5.

New Champion: VII (Seven)

Paladins’ 53rd character, VII, is out today as the first Champion in 2022. Here is his Reveal Trailer.

For true justice to prevail, the Realm needs more than pious Judges. They need VII, the Executioner and Hand of the Outer Tribunal. Unburdened by the trappings of mercy, he ensures that judgements cast are judgements kept.

All about ambushing his opponents, VII can grapple onto walls and use the terrain to his advantage to get the drop on enemies. His weapon mode can be changed on the fly, swapping between automatic fire, burst fire, and unloading the entire clip.

Always nifty, VII is able to dodge-roll out of danger, leaving behind an explosive trap. And as he pronounces the Decree 77 during his ultimate, he makes targeted enemies run away in sheer terror – a rare skill for a Flank Champion.

VII can be unlocked just by playing Paladins. Upon release, he boasts six skins of alternative colors, including two unlocked for free through progression, and two included in the new 2022 Season Pass.

Siege: Beyond

Throughout 2022, Paladins players will get to play three augmentations to Siege, the most popular and most competitive mode. Sure to freshen things up, these iterations – called Schisms – will begin later during this Season 5 Update, with the launch of Siege: Beyond.

This first Schism will feature a brand-new item shop made of one universal track, plus three focused tracks – Support, Tank, and Damage. At any given stage, players choose between three available items instead of the entire selection, making the shop easier for new players to learn. At the same time, with a total of twelve stages of items to choose from and new types of items, it allows for greater strategic depth and deeper customization of Champions according to different play styles.

This first Siege: Beyond Schism will last for about four months. During each Schism, designers will be scrutinizing player sentiment in order to accordingly expand on the changes or revert them. And Siege players who want to stick to their guns need not worry, as Siege: Core will remain available in parallel.

Ranked & Commendation Rewards

Paladins’ Season 4 rewards have just been sent to eligible players. Those who reached Gold in Ranked play have received a Loading Frame based on their highest rank, while another exclusive Loading Frame was granted to everyone who managed to be commended 500 times by their teammates during the past Season. And now that Season 5 has started, players will receive the Epic Willo skin as soon as they win 75 Ranked games.

New Season Pass and Event Pass

The most valuable yearly bundle in Paladins, the Season Pass, has made its return! Featuring the new Jurassic Ying skin and the Dino Dash Mount, the 2022 Season Pass also unlocks each Champion in 2022 and special cosmetics for them, 1500 crystals, and more – all at a compelling price.

Today also marks the release of the Abyss Hunter Academy Event Pass. Whether they are crushing classes or destroying demons, Rei and Maeve are ready to teach foes a lesson to the energizing tunes of the music from hit YouTube artist AmaLee.

The Class President Rei skin can be unlocked for free just by playing matches, while Schoolyard Maeve is an instant unlock granted as soon as players purchase the Event Pass. It also unlocks a second version of each skin, and a total of 24 rewards through progression.

As a new Pass, the Abyss Hunter Academy Event Pass comes with new Trials of the Realm, popular in-game challenges to reward dedication, all accessible for free.

Core Anti-Heal Mechanic Changes

The Cauterize item has been removed and its Healing reduction effect transferred over to a global default stat. This high-impact change aims at putting an end to frustration for newcomers in Paladins, often advised to ‘always buy Cauterize’ without always knowing why. The new system should also please seasoned veterans, since it allows for more freedom and impact when choosing which items to purchase.

In theory just one of many available in-game items, Cauterize was in practice the best way to reduce Healing in Paladins – a game where Healing is so important. In any match at a solid level, it ended up effectively required to buy Cauterize. It is now gone from the shop and its Healing reduction is automatically applied to everyone’s weapon, starting low in intensity but increasing throughout the game.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction Is Now Available on All Platforms

Rainbow Six Extraction is now available with full cross-play, cross-save, and cross-progression on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation^®5, PlayStation^®4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, the Ubisoft Store, Windows PC, and the Epic Games Store. The game will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass, and players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna.*

Top 5 Things You Need To Know About PUBG: NEW STATE January Update

Krafton has announced that its January Update for PUBG: NEW STATE is now live on Android and iOS. With this update comes the release of the new BR: Extreme Mode, which limits the number of players in a match to 64 (versus the BR: Original mode which boasts 100 players) and limits each round to 20 minutes. Currently available on the game’s Troi map, BR: Extreme Mode is still firmly set in the battle royale genre, but is designed to get players into the action (and win Chicken Dinners) as quickly as possible for increased intensity each match.

The January Update also introduces the Rimac Nevera car in partnership with Bugatti Rimac, the new P90 weapon, new gun customization options, and more. Otherwise, here are the top 5 things you need to know about this update.

New Mode: BR Extreme

A new experience developed and optimized for mobile play, each 20 minute round is limited to 64 players. In this mode, the battleground is restricted to a smaller playable area (4×4) within the Troi map, which will be chosen at random and change every match. All Survivors start off with a P1911 handgun, a smoke grenade, 300 Drone Credits and fully charged boost meters. When the match starts, two Care Packages will be dropped at random locations, allowing players to stock up on higher-end gear earlier in a match. Some additional features included in this new battle royale experience are:

Increased quantity of vehicles and items throughout Troi, allowing players to farm more quickly.
Survivors will skydive from a lower altitude so that they can land on the map as quickly as possible.
Delivery drones will arrive faster, allowing players to get their hands on items faster.
The wait time before a teammate can be redeployed has been shortened to 60 seconds.

New Vehicle: Rimac Nevera

The January Update also kicks off PUBG: NEW STATE’s partnership with Bugatti Rimac as players can now hop into the world’s fastest-accelerating production car – the Rimac Nevera – and test drive it throughout the Troi map. A time-limited Rimac Crate has been introduced, which contains various exclusive in-game items, such as Rimac Nevera in five color variations, including Nevera Blue, Gunpowder Grey, Prism Glow, Sunburst Red and Luminous Gold.

New Season and Survivor Pass

Season 1, which has officially begun after a two-month pre-season, introduces eight new tiers – ranging from Bronze to Conqueror – that players can work through. As players progress through each tier, they will earn a variety of rewards including Chicken Medals and weapon skins. Survivor Pass Vol. 3 is also now available, which is centered around in-game character Ben Brown, who is part of the Great Lakes Coalition (GLC) faction. Players will be able to complete missions to earn diverse rewards and items whole exploring the lore of PUBG: NEW STATE.

New Weapon: P90

This SMG, which will spawn in Care Packages on the battlegrounds, will come with a standard tier-2 transformative scope and suppressor attached, but cannot be modified with any other attachments. It uses 5.7mm ammo, which can now be purchased through the Drone Store.

New Gun Customizations

With the new DP-28 Muzzle Slot, players can now attach a Flash Hider (AR/DMR) or a Compensator (AR/DMR) to the DP-28 weapon. When using either of these attachments, however, gun damage will be slightly reduced. Players can also now attach the Lightweight Stock to the Beryl M762 to reduce bullet spread when firing from the hip or shoulder while also increasing ADS speed. Weapon stability will take a hit when using this attachment.
