Titled Aden Castle’s World Siege, this event takes place once in two weeks, on Sunday. Players can join the siege along with their clan members or independently, as mercenaries. A clan that gains the most points for capturing objects and killing enemies is announced the winner. The Aden Castle is one of the most beautiful and majestic buildings in the game. L2 fans will certainly recognize its distinctive vaults, passages and gates.

Additionally, players can experience the Steel Citadel, a new 11-tiered instance zone, has appeared on the Hellbound, one of the largest cross-server locations. Brand new servers, Rose and Pink, were started to celebrate the global update. So the players have the chance to start from scratch and to be the first to get to the top of the server.

Major changes in the pipeline for the fans of Lineage 2 Essence:

New race – Sylphs. New races in Lineage 2 appear rarely. At the start, only classical races were available: Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs. Kamael appeared sometime later. And now, in 2021, the developers brought Sylphs to the game. It is a unique race with a gunslinger class.

Sylphs are an independent Ertheia tribe, created by the Goddess Einhasad and brought to life by Saiha, God of Wind. Sylphs look pretty much like teenage Elves. They use guns and Wind element to attack the enemies. Sylphs are not only damage dealers to be reckoned with, but they also can heal their allies.

New location – Hellbound The game introduces a brand new inter-server hunting zone, Hellbound. The players will encounter new epic bosses here, and it will take a strong close-knit clan to take such a boss on. The warriors can essay their powers in Hellbound on Saturdays, from 10:00 until 20:00. It is impossible to reach the island at other times since it is enveloped in a thick cloud of poisonous vapors.

Purge system. The characters will earn special rating points in addition to experience and Adena while hunting the monsters. The goal, that the new in-game event Purge sets for the players, is to kill as many monsters as possible in specific locations and to make it to the special rating. Those who achieve the highest rating positions will get unique weapons available only in the Purge location.

Class and race change. High-level players can try their hand in a fresh role without wasting days to level-up a newly created character. A special event is running – for a month all characters of Lv. 76 and higher have an opportunity to change their class and race. The players only need to purchase a special coupon on the 4game launcher.

Lineage 2 is an online MMO RPG for Windows developed by Korean NCSOFT. The game is a prequel, where the players encounter events 150 years before the start of the original Lineage. For 17 years the game went through dozens of global updates and is filled with tons of content.

Essence Update Overview

The new Lineage 2 Essence update is extremely important for the whole Lineage 2 universe — a new class has appeared for the first time in many years! This new class has been launched exclusively on the Essence PvP version that was released less than a year ago.

The brutal Death Knight is literally born for battles with other players. He is able to turn into a flaming skeleton and is accessible for three races: Humans, Light Elves and Dark ones. Each race has its own element with a number of unique abilities useful in PvP.

That is strange… This class is only available for male characters. Likely female elves and humans will be compensated later on.

3 v 3 team match has been introduced for the first time with the update. In this mode, both allies and enemies are randomly selected, and players will only have a couple of minutes to get buffs and think through tactics. The final reward awaits everyone, so losing is not scary.

In addition, a new event, “Battle for the Orc Fortress” is now available in the game. Now the players will have to regain the Fortress standard from monsters and other players alone or together with their clans. In addition, one more castle — Goddard — has been opened for sieges. New high-level hunting areas and an extended list of rewards for random crafting have been added: now, if you are very lucky, the character can get enchanted equipment when creating items!

On The Death Knight

Death Knight is a new PvP class available in a form of Human, Elf and Dark Elf, exclusively in the Essence version. The class is armed with a whole arsenal of buffs and debuffs. It can turn into a flaming skeleton, slow and weaken enemies and increase a cooldown of their skills.

About 3v3 Team Matches

3 v 3 Team Match is a new PvP mode that exists only in the Essence version. Players who have reached level 70 can join the match, but only 5 times a day. The arena is open in the evening from Monday to Saturday. The match continues until all the players in one of the teams die, or until the time runs out. Both teams receive the reward.

The Battle for Orc Fortress

The Battle for Orc Fortress is a new clan event in which a character of any level can take part. The fortress is attacked by Lv. 70-80 monsters. The event takes place every day at 20:00 server time, and pre-registration is not required. The clan that owns the fortress receives a bonus to experience, SP and Adena until the next attack.

Goddard Castle

Goddard Castle is a second castle opened for sieges. You can conquer it, like Giran, every Sunday from 20:00 to 21:00 server time, having previously submitted an application.

With the new update, there are two types of damned weapons — the two-handed sword Zarich and the dual Akamanah swords. From Monday to Thursday, between 18:00 – 23:59 CEST, they can randomly drop from any mob or even a player. The one who picks up the swords automatically acquires an impressive demonic appearance, and at the same time the parameters of the raid boss. This is where the race for survival begins. The goal of the new owner of Zarich or Akamanahs is to survive until 23:59 CEST and get rich. It will not work out in the peace zone, because swords are demonic and require sacrifice. Their owner needs to constantly run around locations and kill other players. The bloody harvest is complicated by the fact that the location of the swordsman is shown to the entire server and there are many who want to pick up the damned weapon and potential reward for themselves.

For those who do not like PvP, and prefer peaceful PvE, “Prelude of War” also brought epic challenge in the form of competitive ranks. Each morning, at 6:30 CEST, the top 100 characters within the server and the top 10 characters within the race are determined by the amount of experience. All kinds of bonuses are given to those who occupy the top slots, however even they bow to the one who climbed to first place. As soon as such a player is in the city, then everyone else will automatically bow.

New Territories You Say?

Players will have three unique sub-regions to explore as they traverse through Aden – Aden’s Southern Plain, the Land of Rage and the Eternal Resting Place. Throughout the land is a whole bestiary of Humanoid, Magical and Draconian monsters for Heroes to defeat and acquire Accessory Beads, which are useful for further strengthening characters. Humanoid Monsters are also abundant in the new ‘Spore Epicenter’ Temporal Rift, where players can earn the ‘Mutated Roland’s Cloak’ item upon success. When equipped, attacks change to activate Spore Pollution, which afflicts targets with damage equal to 15% of physical and magic attack, along with a 15% speed decrease and 5% damage decrease debuff.

What About New Enemies?

To combat these new monsters, ‘Humanoid Attribute’ equipment is now available for those eager to counter the Humanoid threat in Aden and the ‘Spore Epicenter’ Temporal Rift, alongside the new Talisman system available for players that undergo the Second Class Transfer. By collecting Talismans while defeating monsters and bosses, along with completing content like Elite Dungeons and Temporal Rifts, players can equip Talismans imbued with stat bonuses and special attributes. If multiple Talisman are equipped in special combinations, additional special effects and benefits become available once the Talismans are bound to the player.

But that’s not all however. There’s more improvements down below that you can sample in today’s update for Lineage 2: Revolution.

Enhancement Failure Bonus

Bonuses will now apply to enhanced equipment when enhancement fails. This bonus applies to character and mount equipment and adds up upon cumulative enhancement failures. The bonus rate resets when an item is successfully enhanced.

The New In-game Events

While there’s much adventure to be had, don’t forget about what events are available to do in-between.

• Equipment Strengthening Discount Event – Celebrate the release of Humanoid Equipment by strengthening your equipment at a discount
• Talisman 101 – From Talisman Acquisition to Combination, perform a variety of Talisman related activities to get rewarded
• Aden’s Elite Knights Festival – A special title will be given to express Netmarble’s appreciation for the heroes who protected the World of Aden
• Temporal Rift: Spore Epicenter Event – Share best strategies on clearing the Spore Epicenter Temporal Rift and be rewarded
• 14 Day Check-in Event – Log in to Lineage 2: Revolution and acquire the Humanoid Equipment.
• Rock-Paper-Scissors Web Event – The first web event of its kind, players use tokens to play for a chance to win 10x the rewards

For fans of the popular mobile MMORPG Lieage 2, there’s some really good news today.

A brand-new 200-player PvP mode, Castle Siege, allows players to team up against each other, offering fresh new ways for them to play as they attempt to conquer the opposing team’s castle or defend their castle against other clans in massive real-time battles. A total of four clans (1 defending and 3 attacking) can battle to conquer a Castle by imprinting the opponent’s Holy Artifact. The Castle Siege pre-season begins today and ushers the start of the Castle Siege Festival, which will offer increased rewards in the form of an EXP boost for all characters. More details on the Castle Siege pre-season, including how to participate and their schedule can be found on the official community website.

The massive in-game update also adds other exciting new content including the new Oren Territory, new difficulty levels added for several dungeons, new Grade UR equipment and a max level extension from level 180 to 260. Players can also enjoy several new in-game events and celebrations that offer increased rewards beginning today, including SR Equipment for returning users (those who have not logged into the game for over 14 days), Feldheim’s Ruins Exploration from now until May 30, Aymel’s School event exclusive to new servers from now until May 30, and much more.
