Boreus also heralds the launch of Hunt Pass Season 3: Overgrowth, as Dauntless continues to expand in the lead up to launch. Arriving alongside the Behemoth, this new seasonal event runs from March 13 to April 16 and gives Slayers the opportunity to earn a full set of Farslayer gear, including the first-ever transmog for the Ostian repeaters. Emotes, epic flares and other rewards dot both the Elite and Basic Hunt Pass tracks as well.

Phoenix Labs is also hard at work on cross-play support for its console releases. Expanded friends lists, matchmaking and more are all underway in service of bringing the “One Dauntless” vision to life on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Epic Games store platforms. Dauntless will now be launching on all three platforms in summer of 2019. This new launch window amends the previous April launch target, giving Phoenix Labs additional time to polish gameplay, stress-test for scale, and complete additional features in time for launch on console and the Epic Games store.

Additional changes coming in today’s patch include a completely revamped UI for Slayer loadouts that enables easy swapping of armor, consumables and cells on a single screen, as well as updated attacks and combos for the Hammer weapon class that enable new, vicious attack options. This is part of an ongoing effort to rework and refine existing systems in Dauntless for launch, ensuring the experience is fresh for new and existing players alike.

With a major game update scheduled for the launch day, DayZ is leaving Xbox Game Preview after 7 months of early access development and close cooperation with the community. The game still has post-launch updates scheduled, but the developers are ready to welcome fresh-spawned console survivors and challenge them to stay alive.

With the need to manage your character’s basic survival requirements and the looming danger of permadeath restarting your progress, DayZ is an exceptionally immersive game. Despite not directly featuring any storytelling mechanics, the post-apocalyptic open world of DayZ presents a unique online sandbox where every decision adds up, creating your own personal story. When all 60 players on a server engage in this completely unscripted survival scenario, the resulting emergent gameplay leads to intense player interactions — some action-packed and short, and some involving long, sophisticated roleplay with very real emotions that you remember long after.

Celebrating this unique storytelling aspect of DayZ, Bohemia Interactive premiered a cinematic CGI cinematic trailer that presents one example of the various stories DayZ can offer. Crossing ways with hostile bandits, overcoming injuries, plotting revenge and improvising during combat are all concepts very familiar to DayZ players. That, and a little bit of imagination — or willingness to fully immerse yourself into the world — will reward you with highly personal gameplay moments very close to this cinematic vision of DayZ.

DayZ is launching on Xbox One thanks to the massive help of the Xbox Game Preview community which shaped the game over the past months. Compared to the current January Game Preview build, the March 27 update will introduce things like an improved controls scheme, better inventory interactions, and general improvements in stability and performance — both on servers and in-game. This should lead to a much smoother overall experience, and should also allow new players to just enjoy the game without the early access hassle. To ensure that everyone starts fresh on launch day, all existing player characters and server persistence data from Game Preview will be wiped.

DayZ will continue in post-launch development with free platform updatesscheduled to drop throughout 2019. These updates will further expand the content available in-game (new weapons and vehicles) and go more in-depthwith some of the existing gameplay concepts.

Until the launch update on March 27, DayZ is still available for its Game Preview price of $39.99 / £31.99 / €39.99, offering players a last chance to get the game for a lower price. After the launch, DayZ will be available for $49.99 / £41.99 / €49.99.

The game is also coming to PlayStation 4 later this year.

White Day, a follow-up to Valentine’s Day in some Asian countries, is a special day that celebrates all kinds of love and friendships. This year, White Day is for everyone in the Black Desert world – regardless of relationship statuses. During the next two weeks, Adventurers will find that Sky Blue Lollipops have been left lying about in all regions of the world, which they can collect to claim Cron Stones as a reward. By defeating monsters, gathering, or fishing, these candies can be obtained and exchanged for Cron Stone Boxes from Food Vendors in certain towns and cities. While all of these boxes will yield a random number of stones, Adventurers can trade more lollipops for a higher-grade Cron Stone Box to guarantee a higher yield of Cron Stones.

Alongside growing lollipop and Cron Stone collections, a new event will be available in Black Desert SEA to encourage guilds to find the picture-perfect moment together. Until March 27, verified guilds that take a picture with five or more members in-game and offline and post their pictures on the community forum will have a chance to win up to USD 200. Ten guilds will be randomly selected as winners, and all those that participate will receive two participation rewards. Guilds and Adventurers encouraged to read the guidelines of this event, then have a great, epic, and unforgettable gathering!

In addition, a new notice board specially designed for in-game viewing has also been implemented this week. Adventurers will be able to access GM and patch notes, updates, notices, and other news pertaining to Black Desert SEA without exiting the game. Now, with the latest information right at their fingertips, Adventurers can have more immersive, informed journeys as they traverse the world of Black Desert.
