PUBG MOBILE Surpasses One Billion Downloads, New Godzilla vs Kong Collab

PUBG MOBILE has surpassed the groundbreaking milestone of one billion accumulated downloads, announced as part of the game’s ongoing three-year anniversary celebration. In addition, PUBG MOBILE will soon be partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ upcoming epic action adventure movie Godzilla vs. Kong for an exclusive in-game event. And later this week fans around the globe will witness the kick-off of the highly-anticipated PUBG MOBILE Pro League Spring Split 2021, followed by the new All-Talent Championship on Friday, March 26.

In just three years, PUBG MOBILE has climbed app store charts around the globe to garner more than one billion accumulated downloads worldwide, excluding Mainland China. PUBG MOBILE released a video to thank for the support from over one billion players worldwide.

To mark the occasion, Changhan Kim, Chief Executive Officer of KRAFTON, Inc. shared a video to congratulate the game on this momentous achievement.

Back in March of 2018, we released PUBG MOBILE with the goal of delivering the original PUBG experience to a wider audience. Since launching in March 2018, PUBG MOBILE has soared to become a global phenomenon that swept across the world to surpass 1 billion accumulated downloads. As the most recent addition to the one billion downloads club, PUBG MOBILE continues to display innovation with more than 30 version updates since launching globally.

PUBG MOBILE also recently showcased the unique music themed gameplay mode “HUNDRED RHYTHMS”, which featured a collaboration with three world-renowned DJs for the game’s three-year anniversary including: Stockholm-based dance music producer Alesso, Belgian musician Lost Frequencies and Dutch-Moroccan DJ and producer R3HAB. All three DJ’s shared their mix sets exclusively in PUBG MOBILE’s three-year anniversary party. The sets included the worldwide debut of Alesso’s new single “Going Dumb”, Lost Frequencies’ new single “Rise” and R3HAB’s new single “Stars Align”. Iconic Kpop group BLACKPINK also sent their three year Anniversary wishes through a video and released a remix to the hit single “DDU-DU DDU-DU” in the game for players and Blinks alike. PUBG MOBILE also revealed today an unprecedented partnership with the highly-anticipated movie Godzilla vs. Kong, with the long-awaited showdown between these two cinema Titans coming to theaters on March 31 and on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release. In a special congratulatory video, the film’s director Adam Wingard teased an exclusive game mode for the collaboration, along with additional specially-themed content.

The new video released by PUBG MOBILE announces that the sixth classic map Karakin is set to be made available for players on Wednesday, April 7. Karakin is a two-by-two kilometer rock filled land located in North Africa, which combines Miramar’s tension with Sanhok’s fast-paced gameplay. A new Demolition purple zone, new throwable, and bullet penetration mechanics exclusive to Karakin will bring thrilling experiences to mobile players where only one of 64 players earns the chicken dinner in tension-filled battles.

Mobile esports fans can also tune into PUBG MOBILE ESPORTS official YouTube channel to watch the PUBG MOBILE Pro League Spring Split 2021 (PMPL), with seven new leagues joining PMPL this year. In addition to the PUBG MOBILE Pro League, all players can experience the glory of high-intensity esports gaming with the PUBG MOBILE All-Talent Championship, beginning Friday, March 26. In this remote virtual tournament, players can partner with teammates to participate in three stages of competition. Points are calculated through the addition of eliminations combined with match rank, with 15 points awarded for a chicken dinner. As teams collect points in each round, they will be divided into categories for the chance to move on.

PUBG MOBILE Royale Pass Season 18 Starts Today

Beginning today PUBG MOBILE players can crank up the jams in the HUNDRED RHYTHMS themed Royale Pass Season 18, collecting all-new rewards by completing in-game challenges. Royale Pass Season 18 is available as part of PUBG MOBILE’s Version 1.3 content update, available now for free on the App Store and Google Play.

Earlier this month, PUBG MOBILE received an overhaul of fresh content in the Version 1.3 update, including new weapons, vehicles, game modes and more. Fans and community members also experienced the first-of-its-kind computer-generated short film “The Growth,” inspiring determination and teamwork on the battlefield. Today, players who enroll in Royale Pass Season 18 can select two sets of ranked rewards to unlock through in-game challenges. Various collectables include special AUG and Kar98K skins, a violin music set and more.

In addition to PUBG MOBILE’s latest missions, a new adventure event is now available. Upon the start of the event, a violin-playing character will appear alongside four ladies. When the music begins, players can collect Adventure Vouchers, which can be exchanged for various free ranked rewards.

PUBG MOBILE also reveals today further details about the game’s upcoming three-year anniversary celebration later in March. World-renowned superstar DJs Alesso, Lost Frequencies and one more DJ are set to debut new singles in PUBG MOBILE and present an unprecedented special in-game live performance on March 21. This Sunday, PUBG MOBILE players can join the fun to witness the debut of DJ performance set at 11 a.m. UTC in game and 1 p.m. UTC on YouTube to celebrate three years of the world’s most popular mobile game.

B.Duck Comes To PUBG MOBILE For An Unexpected Collaboration

Little flippers make a big splash as PUBG MOBILE reveals a new partnership crossover with hit IP Character B.Duck. Beginning from Feb 24, PUBG MOBILE fans and B.Duck enthusiasts alike can drop into classic maps for specially-themed in-game collectibles and festive events, on the App Store and Google Play.

The classic image of B.Duck will emerge at five locations on Erangel in PUBG MOBILE. From Feb 24 until Sunday, March 7, players can participate in the special “B.Duck World Tour” in-game event. By competing on PUBG MOBILE’s popular Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi and Livik maps, players will be awarded up to eight “Gas Cans” per day. Gas Cans can be used to move B.Duck forward by one square. By moving their B.Duck across all squares for a map, players will earn postcards and additional rewards. Similarly, the permanent outfit Common Kid Set can be unlocked by completing all five maps. Additionally, players will encounter special events when B.Duck drifts near a group of buildings on the map.

In addition to the in-game event, players can purchase the exclusive B.Duck outfit set with in-game currency, starting from March 2 to March 22.

PUBG MOBILE Players Can Enlist For Mythical Rewards In Season Pass 17 Live Now

Beginning today PUBG MOBILE players can enlist in the “Runic Power” themed Royale Pass Season 17, and collect all-new collectable rewards by completing in-game challenges, all part of the version 1.2 PUBG MOBILE update, delivering an unprecedented game variant with added equippable powers.

Today’s update arrives as part of the massive Version 1.2 of PUBG MOBILE. The new version introduces a new Classic game mode on the popular Erangel map, where players spawn with one of three pre-selected sets of powers. Similarly, the latest update adds a fresh variant to PUBG MOBILE’s ongoing collaboration with hit first-person shooter title Metro Exodus. Players can collect Honor from fallen foes, which accumulates to unlock specially-themed voice packs, outfits and other permanent rewards.

The Royale Pass Season 17 content update delivers 100 ranks of tiered rewards, all unlockable through new activity missions and weekly challenges. Players can spin the added Wheel of Fate to choose between the Resplendent Dawn and Deadly Sickle at Rank 50m followed by the majestic Guardian Armor Set, Uzi and M16A4 at Rank 100. Mission Activity Packs can also be completed and converted into UC currency, which can be spent at the in-game shop for additional loot.

Season 17 also delivers new content to the PUBG MOBILE x Metro Exodus collaboration in the form of Metro Badges. As players collected exclusive supplies, they can unlock the story and earns one of two sets, including exclusive vehicles and other valuable treasures. Similarly, players can now choose between UC and AG currency at any time, which an increased payout at lower Royale Pass ranks.

PUBG Mobile Gets Elevated Gameplay and Powerful Runes In Latest Update

Mystical powers descend on the hit mobile game PUBG MOBILE as part of the latest content update. Beginning today the popular Erangel map receives special runes from another world which bestow players with special power. Player can also tout the new FAMAS variable-fire assault rifle, boasting 5.56mm ammo with reduced recoil. The PUBG MOBILE Version 1.2 content update is available now for free via the App Store and Google Play.

In the new Runic Power Theme Gameplay, players can queue for a unique version of Erangel, where they will have the choice between one of three rune energies. After selecting their rune, each player will be granted a summon and a boost skill, which both can be consumed to provide strategic advantages on the battlefield. All rune skills can be reobtained by looting Erangel’s vast terrain. Similarly, runes can be experienced in PUBG MOBILE’s Cheer Park, where players can complete daily rune missions to earn fresh rewards.

PUBG MOBILE’s powerful rune skills include:

Flame Rune – Players can summon a wheel of flame that rolls slowly forwards, dealing burn damage to afflicted players. An additional boost skill adds a burning enhancement to ammo for a brief period
Arctic Rune – In addition to the boost skill that adds a freezing enhancement to ammo, reducing healing effectiveness, players with this skill can summon a 3×3 grid of ice wall for mid-battle protection
Wind Rune – This skill summons a semi-transparent shield of wind that reduces bullet damage from weapons shot outside of it. The boost skill increases player movement speed and reduces reload time for a short time

In addition to the new features in Classic Mode, PUBG MOBILE’s ongoing collaboration with popular first-person shooter Metro Exodus intensifies today with a fresh chapter. In the new Metro Royale: Honor chapter, players can obtain Honor by defeating enemies and collecting in-game items, which both increase Honor levels. Honor can be accumulated to unlock special voice packs, outfits and other permanent rewards.

The highly anticipated Royale Pass Season 17 is also set to arrive in PUBG MOBILE on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Boasting a RUNIC POWER theme, Season 17 offers updated Royale Pass missions, Activity Pack events and stunning cosmetics, such as the Deadly Sickle and Guardian Armor Set. A new game variant of PUBG MOBILE’s popular EvoGround Mode is also set to touch down on Friday, Feb. 5, delivering high-tech Power Armor and Matrix Events on the condensed Livik map.

PUBG Mobile Expands E-sport Regions, Begins Club Open Registrations

From January 1st, aspiring mobile esports semi-pros from across the globe are invited to sign up and compete in the new 2021 PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO), the biggest ever PUBG MOBILE semi-pro esports competition to date. With the enormous success of the PMCO in 2020 which saw tens of thousands of teams register, and PUBG MOBILE’s commitment to continue growing their esports ecosystem to support competitors of all levels, the PMCO 2021 will now be available across 27 regions, with registration open until January 24th.

2020 was a standout year for PUBG MOBILE esports with over 120,000 teams from around the world applying to compete, showing outstanding skill and vying for their chance to move up into the next level competition. The PMCO’s expansion means more players will be enabled to continue improving their skills, get a feel of competitive play, and pave their path to the highest levels of mobile esports competition, in the year when PUBG MOBILE esports announced $14,000,000 in prize money. In 2021, PMCO will expand to more regions in Europe, Middle East, South Asia, LATAM and Southeast Asia. This is the first split for PMCO to include Southeast Asia regions(Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia & Singapore), where the semi-pro teams were previously registered by participating in the national championships. The Frost Festival Is Now Live On PUBG Mobile

A cool (literally) new winter-themed game mode “Frost Festival” drops into PUBG MOBILE as part of a special holiday content update today. Mobile players can now cozy up and queue for the new event mode which will drop them into a unique version of the beloved Erangel battle royale map, complete with interactive and explorable wintry locations, snowy monuments, themed decorations and more. The “Frost Festival” content update for PUBG MOBILE is available now to bring joy to the world for free via the App Store and Google Play.

In the new “Frost Festival” event mode players will experience three frost castles that randomly spawn throughout the Erangel map, which can be looted for advantageous supplies. Added icy zones offer a unique combat-altering experience. Players can also traverse the frozen tundra to collect snowmen and snow chickens, which can both be used as statues for quick cover from enemy fire. The “Frost Festival” mode is available for a limited time and is accessible by selecting the Erangel event mode in the PUBG MOBILE main menu.

In addition to the frosty structures added throughout PUBG MOBILE’s Erangel map, several festive features have been added, including:

Slick Snowboards – At the beginning of each event match, all players receive a rideable snowboard which can be activated with the backpack button to quickly travel and jump over obstacles
Holiday-Themed Decoration – Erangel has been fitted in beautiful cosmetic changes to celebrate the season, including decorated buildings, fireplaces and Christmas trees. The flare gun is also updated with additional holiday flair
Special Events – Several surprise “Frost Festival” events are set to arrive for players and community members to spread the warmth of the season

Zombie Infection Event Returns to PUBG MOBILE for Halloween

Chilling undead creep back into PUBG MOBILE today as the Infection Mode returns to the blockbuster mobile game just in time for Halloween. Infection Mode was first launched in the 0.14.0 content update of PUBG MOBILE in August 2019. From now through Monday, Nov. 9, players can get into this favorite mode again in the action-packed gameplay through a free content update. New in-game themes and costumes are also added as part of PUBG MOBILE’s Halloweeks celebration, coming soon.

In PUBG MOBILE’s Infection Mode, players are split into two teams at the beginning of the match, including Zombies and Defenders. Zombies must defeat all Defenders before the time limit ends the match for victory, but if even one Defender survives, the Defender team earns the Chicken Dinner. While Defenders boast firearms of M416 and AK47 with super Extended Mags, Zombies can only use melee attacks and abilities, which have cooldown times. Once defeated, Defenders will become infected and respawn as Zombies, who can even transform into Fast Zombie, Stealth Zombie, and the Zombie King with huge defense and attack boost. Defenders will also transform into powerful combatants called the Vanquisher when there are only three of them left. Infected killed by Vanquishers cannot be resurrected. These make the gameplay even more interesting and encourage strategy from different side.

In addition to the return of Infection Mode, today’s content update delivers a new wave of specially-themed in-game décor for PUBG MOBILE’s Halloweeks. Zombies wear Halloween masks, with new atmospheric decorations, including jack-o’-lanterns, gravestones and candles. More Halloweeks themed outfits, items and festive content will be revealed soon.

PUBG MOBILE Unveils Payload 2.0 With New Improvements

After much anticipation, PUBG MOBILE is amplifying the high-intensity gameplay with the introduction of Payload 2.0, an enhanced version of a beloved game variant for the world’s most popular mobile game. Beginning today, players can “Rock and Load” in the hit game type by experiencing new improvements such as armored vehicles, Super Weapon Crate and more in a free update on the App Store and Google Play.

One year ago PUBG MOBILE added Payload Mode, delivering never-before-seen features that provided an all new way for players to battle it out. With today’s addition of Payload 2.0, players can now use powerful vehicles and massive firepower to gain strategic advantages in the new exciting gameplay, including:

Armored Vehicles – PUBG MOBILE’s classic rides, including the UAZ, Dacia, off-road buggy and pick-up truck have been fortified with protective armor. Similarly, players can take to the skies with the new Armed Helicopter

PUBG MOBILE Teams Up With KPOP Stars BlackPink For Special Collaboration

As world-renowned K-pop female group BLACKPINK releases the highly anticipated first full album “The Album” today to hundreds of millions of fans around the world, PUBG MOBILE drops in more collaboration update with BLACKPINK-themed content for worldwide players and BLINKS. From now through Monday, Nov. 2, players can check out the latest title song “LOVESICK GIRLS” from BLACKPINK’s new album in PUBG MOBILE, as well as more collaborative content in game.

Upon logging into PUBG MOBILE, players can listen to the title song “LOVESICK GIRLS” from “The Album” via the in-game lobby music. Earlier, players were able to tune into “How You Like That,” the first single from the new album. Similarly, there will be special themed content and visuals in game to celebrate BLACKPINK’s new album release and also the collaboration.
