The February Update for NEW STATE MOBILE is live on Android and iOS. With this update comes the new Round Deathmatch(RDM) Mode, a 4v4 round-based experience that sees teams compete to be the last one standing. This update also adds Survivor Pass Vol. 4, new MP5K and Crossbow weapons, updates to the in-game clan system and more.

See below for a full rundown of major features added to the game with the February Update. The full February Update Patch Notes are available HERE.

  • Round Deathmatch: RDM is a 4v4 round-based mode. Unlike traditional deathmatch modes, players will not respawn after being eliminated. The team with the last player standing each round wins that round. Teams will compete in a best of seven series to see who ultimately wins the match. In RDM, each team will start each round on opposite sides of the Arena – a new map dedicated to RDM – with a set of basic weapons. Like typical battle royale matches, a Blue Zone will form at the start of a round and gradually to the center of the map as a round progresses.
  • Survivor Pass Vol. 4: With this update, players can now progress through the new Survivor Pass to earn a variety of in-game rewards. With this Survivor Pass, players can complete a series of faction-themed missions, which focuses on Doug Bikerway of the Mayhem biker gang, which is one of the arms-dealing factions in NEW STATE MOBILE. Players who complete the story missions can earn the Doug Bikerway skin.
  • New Weapons – MP5K and Crossbow: The MP5K is a 9mm-based SMG that can be equipped with a variety of attachments to help manage recoil. The silent, long-range Crossbow is also now available as a field drop in the Troi and Erangel 2052 maps.
  • New Weapon Customizations: With this update, the M249 weapon can now be customized with a new shield attachment that fits on the side of its handguard and prevents enemy fire from destroying the weapon. This customization results in a slightly slower ADS time, however.
  • Clan System Adjustments: Recommended clans will now focus on a Clan Masters’ nationality to help players match with clans of common nationalities. Players can now search for clans based on that parameter to find one that best suits them. A Clan Masters can now also set their Clan Emblem using a variety of symbols, backgrounds and colors, with more options that will be added later. These Clan Emblems will be displayed on the “recommended clan page” as well as in a clan member’s profile pages.

The game’s Launch Trailer is available on the official PUBG: NEW STATE YouTube Channel.

Developed by PUBG Studios, the same company that created the highly successful PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS battle royale video game that has sold more than 70 million copies on PC and consoles, PUBG: NEW STATE is a free-to-play next-generation mobile game playable in 17 different languages. Set in the year 2051, PUBG: NEW STATE brings the full, uncompromised battle royale gaming experience currently available in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS to iOS and Android, making it one of the most realistic and technologically advanced mobile games to date.

“PUBG: NEW STATE has been and will continue to be a labor of love for the team at PUBG Studios, and we could not be more grateful to our global fans who have consistently shown their enthusiasm and support for the game since our announcement,” said Minkyu Park, Executive Producer for PUBG: NEW STATE. “By delivering next-generation battle royale gameplay experiences on mobile previously only seen on PC and consoles, we are confident we’ll meet the high expectations of our players, and are committed to ensuring it will be the premier mobile gaming experience for years to come.”

PUBG: NEW STATE aims to push the battle royale genre forward through original gameplay features that include, but are not limited to, weapon customization, the drone store and a unique player recruitment system. At launch, PUBG: NEW STATE has three distinct gameplay modes, including Battle Royale (available on the future-set Troi and PUBG franchise staple, Erangel), 4v4 Deathmatch and the Training Ground where players can hone their skills before jumping into a live match.

When the latest update for KRAFTON, Inc.’s PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS releases on Nov. 3 for PC and Nov. 11 for consoles, players will be able to test out a few new weapons including the Taego-exclusive Mortar that be used to engage enemies at range, and the M79 which launches smoke grenades that can be used to “blind” enemies.

The patch will introduce new interactable feathery creatures to the Taego map: Chickens! While the Chickens are designed to amuse players even while they’re in the most intense battles, players must be careful when encountering them as they may give away their position to nearby enemies.

But that’s not all – see below for a full rundown of Update 14.2:

  • New Weapon – Mortar: The new Taego-exclusive weapon is easy to use in combat situations, but it can take a lot of practice to achieve reasonable accuracy. First, players must calculate the distance to the target and the expected movement path. Skillful players will be able to attack behind ridges where grenades can’t reach or when defending specific areas.

  • New Weapon – M79 Smoke Grenade Launcher: The new M79 is a smoke grenade launcher that was created to provide quick smoke cover on longer ranges. Players can blind their enemies, cover downed teammates or make grand escapes from a losing battle!

  • New Feature – Down But Now Out (DBNO) Swimming: To improve the survivability of players inside water, the game will supports DBNO Swimming. Previously, a player who entered DBNO while in the water would skip DBNO and instantly die. This made any deep water a hazardous area to traverse. Now players will instead enter Swimming DBNO, a slow swimming state which gives them a chance to reach the shore and be revived by teammates.

Activision Blizzard has finally revealed more information about Diablo II: Resurrected and the good news is, players won’t have to wait long to jump into the early access and open beta. Below are the dates for both, which are taking place this month:

  • Early Access weekend – August 14, 1:00am GMT+8 – Fans who pre-ordered Diablo II: Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 will be able to access the game early during this time.

Both phases of the Open Beta will include two additional classes for players to dive into.
