Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction Is Now Available on All Platforms

Rainbow Six Extraction is now available with full cross-play, cross-save, and cross-progression on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation^®5, PlayStation^®4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, the Ubisoft Store, Windows PC, and the Epic Games Store. The game will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass, and players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna.*

With development led by Ubisoft Montreal and supported by associate Ubisoft studios in Bucharest, Bordeaux, and Saguenay, Rainbow Six Extraction is a tactical online co-op PVE experience for up to three players, featuring beloved Operators from the Rainbow Six universe hand-selected to engage, contain, and eliminate a lethal, mutating alien threat.

Both Rainbow Six Siege players and those looking for a new PVE co-op game will be challenged by an unknown alien threat, known as the Archæans, in Rainbow Six Extraction. Set in four regions across the U.S., containment zones are dominated by the alien parasite, creating an evolving and unstable ecosystem within their walls.

Choose from 18 Rainbow Six operators, each equipped with specialized REACT gear, weapons, gadgets, and abilities to learn and master. With each incursion, every squad will face the difficult choice of pushing deeper for greater rewards or extracting – failing to extract means their Operator goes MIA, making them temporarily unavailable. Prepare to launch into thrilling and challenging high-stakes missions and risk it all.

The Standard Edition is available now for £33.99 on PC and £44.99 on console, which includes free post-launch content, a deep gear and ability progression system, four adjustable difficulty levels, over 90 weapons and gadgets, 12 dynamic maps, 13 mission types, unpredictable enemy mutations, and more. More content awaits players in Rainbow Six Extraction, with a sizeable amount of free and game-changing post-launch content coming alongside an evolving endgame available at launch. The Deluxe Edition, which includes everything from the Standard Edition alongside three bonus packs, is available for £41.99 on PC and £49.99 on console.

To ensure a smooth rollout for all players, Rainbow Six Extraction’s Buddy Pass program will be held until shortly after launch, giving game owners the opportunity to invite two friends to play online co-op with them from any platform for up to 14 days, even if they don’t own the game.

Vampire fans rejoice, because top-down open world survival RPG V Rising is back, and Stunlock Studios has some brand new info and footage to share with us this week! Here’s what we’ve learned from the recent blog post.

New Gameplay Footage Looks Great

A new gameplay trailer has emerged, and V Rising is looking better than ever. For the unlearned, in V Rising, you play as a vampire, looking to restore yourself and land to its former glory. Play with comrades online and delve into a dark fantasy open-world where you hunt for prey to survive, rediscover old magic, and raise a castle worthy of your greatness. Players can expect crafting, building, high octane PvE, PvP, and skill shot-based combat.

Closed Beta Is Coming

A few months ago when we first received word about V Rising, an open beta was planned for 2021, but it looks like that has been delayed. Instead, Stunlock Studios have said that a very limited closed beta test will take place in late 2021, with a paid early access released scheduled for 2022.

Inspiration Came From Netflix’s Castlevania

The art-style, gameplay and atmosphere in V Rising looks superb. But where did the dev team get inspiration from?

“The team took inspiration from everything from classic gothic horror literature to Netflix’s Castlevania to create a world of conflict where vampires, humans, and mythical beasts co-exist in a delicate balance. We want to give players the full vampire experience of avoiding the burning sunlight, hunting for blood and building their castle. All this while competing against other players and being tracked by vampire hunters. This is our most ambitious game yet, and we can’t wait to reveal more information in the foreseeable future,” said Johan Ilves, Marketing Director at Stunlock Studios.

Everything You Need To Know About Hearthstone Mercenaries!

Hearthstone Mercenaries, the all-new free-to-play game mode for Blizzard’s smash-hit digital card game Hearthstone, is live today, offering players a whole new way to play in its vibrant universe. Combining the depth of tactical RPG-style combat with engrossing and rewarding long-term progression, Mercenaries puts the focus on Hearthstone’s iconic characters, encouraging players to collect, upgrade, and equip their favorite heroes and villains, and call their shots in epic high-stakes battles.

In Mercenaries, players will assemble Parties of six heroes from among their roster and set out to complete single-player Bounties—a randomly generated series of battles which culminate in a bout with powerful Bounty Bosses. Every hero on the team will gain experience after each successful battle, increasing in power and gaining access to new abilities as they level up. Upon completing a full Bounty, players will earn a cache of treasure that includes Mercenary Coins, which they can use to craft additional heroes, or upgrade ones they already own.

The roster of Mercenary heroes—which includes over 50 at launch—was designed to encourage players to get creative when building teams, with countless powerful synergies for players to discover. Players can also bring their most formidable teams to the Fighting Pit, where they can square up against other players and earn experience, achievements, and other rewards.

“Mercenaries provides an experience that feels completely new, but embodies the fundamental spirit of Hearthstone,” said Mike Ybarra, co-leader of Blizzard Entertainment. “The team has opened up a whole new chapter for Hearthstone that captures its unique spirit, with a fresh mode full of strategic depth. I can’t wait to see the strategies our players will unleash on the world.”

Players who start their journey will earn their first eight Mercenary heroes just for completing the prologue and introductory missions. All other Mercenaries can be obtained from simply playing the campaign or via other in-game rewards. Starting today, players can also buy Mercenaries packs for 100 in-game gold each, or purchase pack bundles of different sizes from the Blizzard Shop, starting at $2.99 USD for two packs. Mercenaries packs contain five Mercenaries items, which can include Mercenary Cards, Mercenary Portraits, or Mercenary Coins, which can be used to craft or upgrade Mercenaries. Each Mercenaries pack contains at least one Rare or better Mercenary Card.

Gamigo’s Upcoming Hybrid MOBA Skydome Opens Closed Beta Registrations

gamigo is excited to announce the opening of the Closed Beta for their innovative online game Skydome! Every player can apply now for one of the coveted spots. The closed beta will start on April 27 – from this date and in the following weeks, selected applicants will receive their access codes to the game. Consisting of a seamless blend between MOBA and tower defense, Skydome is a unique experience that plays unlike any other.

Skydome is an ever-growing world filled to the brim with gripping stories and diverse characters. Players must assemble a team of skilled heroes to defend their base and crush enemy walls while completing rewarding side objectives. The outcome of a match depends on everyone. Players and their friends must outsmart and outbattle their opponents in this match of wits. From Skydome, the temple floating high in the skies, its Champions are sent out to fight armies and monsters across the universe, using their own individual strategies and skills to create defenses and towers which help them dominate over their opponents. No two Champions are alike, giving players the opportunity to explore new abilities, defense towers and strategies with each hero.   

In Skydome, players delve right into fast paced isometric action matches, with thrilling challenges waiting around every corner. Depending on each playstyle, players can craft elaborate strategies in teams of four or face the battle heads on by utilizing special intervention skills to sabotage their opponents. Deathmazes, magic portals, and time manipulation are all part of a player’s strategy to become the ultimate champion in this epic tower-defense battle arena.
