5 More Heroes Return To Shadow Arena With Enhanced Abilities

Pearl Abyss today announced the return of the 5 Heroes to Shadow Arena. These Heroes now offer enhanced abilities and skills that will enable players to fight more efficiently against opponents.

Shadow Arena has welcomed back two Heroes this week; Sura and Ba-Ri & Heilang. Sura is an aggressive Dealer who can switch between different forms in battles. Using his 4 different skills, Sura can approach their enemies with lightning speed and attack on their back while evading sideways.

Ba-Ri and Heilang is a character duo who has the ability to perform various combo attacks. Heilang follows Ba-Ri in battles and attacks anyone Ba-Ri targets. It can also sense enemies in stealth mode and attack them. When Ba-Ri uses her skills, Heilang joins her to fight with her or heals and offers buffs to its nearby allies.

Throughout the month of February, there have been three other renewed Heroes in Shadow Arena; Badal the Golden, Igrid, Lahn. Badal the Golden is a Dealer who also specializes in combo attacks. Special skills are used to reinforce himself with attacking buffs, making his stylish combos a threat to enemies. Due to his limited attack range, it is crucial that Badal approaches enemies as quickly as possible.

Igrid is a Brawler with strong combat skills and defensive techniques wielding her battle axe and shield. It is important to defend the opponent’s attacks and utilize her skills at the right time as Igrid’s attack speed is quite slow. Lahn is a Dealer who uses the Crescent Pendulum to cause significant damage. Using her skills, Lahn can instantly pull her enemies closer to her from afar and run in the air for a certain amount of time.

Shadow Arena’s Tantu and Wu-Ju Return With Enhanced Abilities

Pearl Abyss has announced that the Heroes Tantu and Wu-Ju have returned to Shadow Arena with enhanced abilities. Players can now experience the renewed array of characteristics of these Heroes and fight against enemies with more control.

Tantu is a Dealer with powerful and wide-ranged firing power who uses an Iron Buster as his weapon. Through renewal, two of his previous skills were removed, and the new skill called Overload was added. When using Overload, all bullets of the Iron Buster will be loaded and will not be consumed, allowing players to attack the opponents continuously.

A Support Hero, Wu-ju summons a Hungry Black Spirit to drastically reduce the opponent’s defense and increase the attack power of the allies. He can also detect enemies and avoid dangerous situations, helping his allies when it comes to fighting as a team. Due to his lack of HP and movement skills, players are highly encouraged to engage in battles with allies.

Shadow Arena has been recently renewing Heroes to enhance their team strategy aspect. Renewed Heroes currently available are Venslar, Tantu, and Wu-Ju. More Hero renewals will take place and will be released one by one.

Venslar Is Back In Shadow Arena WIth Enhanced Team Support Ability

Pearl Abyss announced today that its action-packed PvP game Shadow Arena will now have a new version of their Hero — Venslar. The all-new Venslar will make players more strategic by supporting their allies while attacking enemies.

The original Venslar, who was an offensive Hero, has been reborn as a Support, one of three Hero types in Shadow Arena. Her new skillset will enable players to increase DP of themselves as well as allies, recover allies’ HP, and increase Attack Speed and Movement Speed.

The unique characteristic of the original Venslar, which is to switch between attack and defense stances, is maintained. Venslar can block attacks from enemies while supporting her allies and chase down the opponents to make quick attacks. Thanks to these abilities, players can become more strategic when it comes to fighting in a team-based battle.

In addition, the Item Preset feature has been updated to increase player convenience. Players can now purchase a desired item immediately using a shortkey without visiting the in-game shop.

Pearl Abyss’s Shadow Arena Gets Gameplay Systems Refreshed

Pearl Abyss has announced that its action-packed PvP Shadow Arena’s gameplay systems have been renewed following player feedback. Shadow Arena will now provide an easier and more strategic gameplay that focuses on team-based play.

Shadow Arena has unified all play modes into “Trio Mode,” bringing different contents from existing modes to Trio Mode to make changes that will allow players to adapt quickly and make the gameplay more enjoyable. The existing modes such as Solo are still available in Custom Mode.

The renewed gameplay also allows players to focus on collaborative play and team management strategies with three types: Brawler, Dealer, and Support. Brawlers have high HP and defense skills. Dealers have the ability to kill opponents with quick attacks while Supports can protect or heal their team members.

All players can now become more strategic with their Heroes with the new skills added to the Black Spirit Skills. In addition to Dark Shift and Blink, players can use the new skills like the Matchlock to inflict strong damage and Hand of Healing to heal team members instantly.

A Shop system is also available in which players can specialize their Hero capabilities. Items can be purchased with Tokens obtained by defeating monsters and Heroes. Moreover, the game Result screen now shows the opposing team’s information including their AP, DP, Kill, and Death count.

Shadow Arena’s Latest Hero Is None Other Than Hexe Marie

Pearl Abyss announced today that a new Hero “Hexe Marie” is now available in Shadow Arena.

Shadow Arena’s 19th Hero, Hexe Marie is known as an immortal witch named “Marie”, who had always stood by Belmorn, the last king of the Hexe Kingdom. By using the Wicked Sorcery skill, she can summon various enemies including Skeleton Soldiers to form her army. Players are encouraged to avoid face-to-face confrontation until they have sufficient minions to form a powerful army.

Hexe Marie has a special movement skill that enables players to move in the air when falling from a high place or fighting from afar. She can also become a strategic fighter when her long-range skills are used along with her movement skill.

To commemorate the Hexe Marie update, a special in-game event will take place until December 13. Players who upload tips and tricks videos regarding Hexe Marie’s gameplay such as her combos, mechanics, and fighting styles on YouTube with the event hashtags can participate in the event. A special Goyen Gavi Regan skin will be rewarded to the winner.

Shadow Arena Improves Ping System For Trio Mode

Pearl Abyss has announced that player-friendly updates such as an improved ping system for Trio mode and login rewards have been added to Shadow Arena. Players can now experience faster communication and efficient gameplay through this update.

The ping system has been updated for Trio mode allowing the maximum distance that players can use pings to be greatly increased. Even players who do not use voice chat can quickly identify a team member’s location, enabling more efficient battles.

Moreover, a new login reward event has been introduced that offers players valuable rewards. Players who log in up to the 21^st day can claim exclusive rewards such as an RTX 3080 Gaming OC ticket and RAZER gaming gear tickets until December 17. Those who obtain these event tickets through the login rewards will be automatically entered into a raffle for these respective items. 2 special Skins can also be acquired by all players through the event.

The Asia Champions Showdown tournament will be held on November 22 to determine the best trio players. The tournament will be broadcast live through the official Shadow Arena Twitch channel and the winning team will earn themselves an exclusive special skin, in-game title, and a vast amount of silver.

Shadow Arena’s Newest Hero Tantu Now Playable

Pearl Abyss announced that the new Hero Tantu has arrived in Shadow Arena. Players can now throw powerful combos at enemies using this successor of an ancient civilization.

A young giant, Tantu uses an Iron Buster as a main weapon, which has been forged using a long-lost technology. Armed with immense firing power, he can create advantageous combat situations by keeping opponents at a distance with his ranged attacks.

Tantu also has the ability to switch between long-range and close-range attacks at any time to suit his situation. Depending on his skill, Tantu can load up to 4 Bullets which, when fired, will inflict a Stiffen effect upon his enemies. High damage can be inflicted by using the Aggressive Negotiations skill, which allows players to quickly grab a nearby enemy and strike them continuously.

Moreover, Beta Season 2 has begun. To celebrate the new season, a special reward event will take place until December 12. Players can earn Battle Points by completing challenges and acquiring a certain number of points will get them a special Ticket. This Ticket will automatically enter the player into a prize draw with rewards including a Samsung Odyssey G7 gaming monitor, Logitech G560 gaming speaker, and Razer Kraken Pro Headset.

Shadow Arena Introduces New Trio Mode

Pearl Abyss announced today that a new Trio mode has been added to Shadow Arena. Players can now battle against others as a team and experience new features that are also available in the new mode.

The Trio mode is a new in-game mode in which a total of 5 teams can participate in the battlefield as a party of three. When a Hero dies, the Hero can get revived by a teammate at any time or revive automatically when the automatic revival time passes as long as another member of the team is still alive.

The Trio mode also features the new Ascension system where the Relic of Ascension spawns in the middle of the Dark Fog 15 minutes after a match begins. Players can then enter within the red line around the Relic of Ascension which fills a gauge to charge the relic. When a certain team completely fills the gauge, the team will Ascend and win the match.

Moreover, new objects called Blackstar Fragments will appear randomly across the map. These fragments will break when players go near them and once they are destroyed, all team members will get additional Attack and Defense Points.

The 2020 Asia Champions Showdown will be held on November 22 to determine the most powerful trio in the Asia server. After running a total of 4 rounds, the final rankings will be announced based on the sum of points earned from each round. Shadow Arena Developers Answer Questions In New Q&A Video

Pearl Abyss announced today that Shadow Arena’s Ask the Devs: Video Responses is now available. Players can now find the answers to their questions that they previously submitted for the recent “Ask the Devs Anything” video.

The video responses were made to answer players’ questions and explain the direction that the developers are taking with future updates and content. In the video, Lead Producer Kwangsam Kim and Director of Live Services Kwangbae Jeon covered many topics that were brought up by the players including matchmaking and tournaments.

Lead Producer Kim also announced that the console version of Shadow Arena is currently under development, which is also planned to support cross-play. For the new Hero updates that take place every three weeks, Kim said a total of 20 Heroes will be released by the end of this year.

Moreover, the Trio Mode will be revived and revamped shortly, allowing players to enjoy the game more as a team. Updates focusing on improving items and matchmaking system are also in progress to enhance Shadow Arena’s overall gameplay.

Furthermore, Director Jeon unveiled the future plans for Shadow Arena tournaments, explaining that the team behind Shadow Arena is currently testing and refining the rules and regulations for tournaments. They are also developing systems to host tournaments for various modes.

Shadow Arena Introduces Two New Heroes

Pearl Abyss announced today that new Hero, Ba-Ri and Heilang, has arrived in Shadow Arena. Players can now play this perfect duo to perform various combat styles in the battelfield.

Ba-Ri was the princess of a fallen kingdom who has escaped from the army with help from Hwisa and Heilang. She is now ready to begin her new adventure with her life-long friend Heilang to discover who she truly is.

Players can now play the new Hero Ba-Ri and Heilang, a unique character duo that has a different combat pattern due to Celestial Bo Staff and Heilang. Heilang has the ability to keep attacking the target even if Ba-Ri is stunned or cannot move. Players can order Heilang to attack enemies or stand down and battle while riding on it. Moreover, players can move directly to Heilang’s location or make Heilang come near her.

In the meantime, the Daily Quest Clear Event will be held until October 8. Players who complete the “First Solo match!” quest will receive a Skin Ticket. Those who collect 7 Event Tickets can obtain a special Gerhard Shultz Skin. Merch Tickets will also be given for completing other daily quests which will give players a chance to get a special prize such a gaming keyboard, mousepad package, and Shadow Arena merch.
