Shroud of the Avatar is hosting another free trial run event for new players. The game is currently on Steam in early access, but you can create an account on their site and jump in. The event started on the 1st of November and will last until the 15th.

New players can create an account and jump into the game for free. Of course, there are restrictions in place for Visitors, and you can go over them at the official site here. In the event you want a TLDR for some of the things you can or cannot do as a Visitor, see below:

• Latest Free Trial Test Time Period: November 1-15, 2017
• The term (Visitor) is appended to their character name
• Cannot give items to other players via Trade
• Cannot purchase nor sell items via Player Vendors nor Public Vendors
• No ownership of property nor use of lot signs
• Cannot interact with public chests.
• Cannot move/interact with items on a plot even if they are given permissions.
• Cannot flag as Open PVP
• Cannot gain nor create ransom items when you kill or are killed in PVP (in Open PVP zones)
• Character data may be deleted after Free Trial Test is over if not upgraded to a paid account
• Items purchased in the Add On Store cannot be accessed after the Free Trial Test Period is over unless you purchase Game Access
• Cannot play in Offline Mode
• Can only start on the Path of Love

Either way, you have about a week to check out the game to see if it is worth your time and money.

Guess what, Shroud of the Avatar is having another free trial. Between now and September 27th, you can make an account and jump into this MMORPG for free.

Lord British’s Shroud of the Avatar is still going strong, gathering investments and funding while maintaining its early access status. We’ve explored SOTA in the past, and our experience isn’t something we look back upon in fondness.

To jump in and see the world and game for yourselves, simply create an account, download the client and hop on in. All free trial players will be granted Visitor access, which simply means there are restrictions in place. Some of these includes no PvP, no vendor access and no Offline Mode, just to name a few.

The entirety of the opening starter quests will also be available to explore. PvE will make up the bulk of the free trial experience, which in itself is pretty polarizing. There is supposed to be a main story that flows from the beginning, but it is yet to be implemented. Check out our past experiences with Shroud of the Avatar in this article here.

In case you missed the news, LawBreakers will be playable by everyone on Steam now until July 5th. The upcoming arena MMO shooter is the latest offering in the genre, with fun characters and customization.

Right now, anyone can download the game through Steam and start playing. For the Steam open beta, the game has put in some new content. The first of which is a brand new map, Vertigo. There’s also a new game mode – Uplink – that promises more strategy while keeping the pace frantic.

Customization is big part of the game’s enjoyment, and to that extent, there will be loads of weapons to customize. For the beta event, new weapon stickers are available for all to experiment with.

Shroud of the Avatar is hosting yet another free trial run. This time, the duration is a lot longer, beginning July 3rd and lasting till the 26th.

New players can create an account and jump into the game for free. Of course, there are restrictions in place for Visitors, and you can go over them at the official site here.

Since our last update, SotA is gradually adding more tweaks and improvements to the game. Release 43 is already live for instance, where there are lots of changes. One of them is the improvement to gameplay performance, offering better frame rates for players.

The other includes new content to explore. Path of the Oracle has been polished with several new scenes. In addition, a new NPC Arabella is also in-game. Other quality of life improvements includes a new bulletin board, mail items and much more.

For the third month in a row, Shroud of the Avatar is offering a free trial. The sandbox MMORPG by Richard Garriott is now offering a longer free trial. Beginning May 10th, new players can create accounts and jump in to test the game until May 31st.

This is in fact, the longest free trial ever put forward by developers Portalarium. There is also a good reason to do so, considering the game has had some massive new updates included. Over the past few months, SOTA has been working hard to improve key areas of the game. The first is to make the new player experience better.

SOTA’s solution to making it a better experience for new players is to include new starter zone maps. This can be experienced when you jump into the free trial this May. Do note however, that all free trial players will be handed a Visitor tag. Visitors will have a bunch of restrictions placed on them, but still gets enough freedom to check out the game. The restriction includes PVP and selling gear, but at least you’ll be able to experience the gameplay and story.

In the past, we have covered SOTA and found the MMO severely wanting. Can the game step it up and deliver on promises made in development? Time will tell. For more on the game, check out the official website here.
