Stellaris Releases Aquatics Species Pack On Steam

Stellaris players can now purchase the Aquatics Species Pack on Steam, which Paradox Interactive has released today. For $9.99, the Aquatics Species Pack will provide fans with a full school of new fishy cosmetics, origins, civics and cosmetics. This expansion is available to fans at a 20% discount for this week, so jump in – the water is fine!

In all, the Aquatics Species Pack includes:

New Origins:
- Here be Dragons!: This ancient mythical beast stalks your home world, its deep sage-blue scales orbiting your humble kingdom. Your relationship with this proud creature will determine the lengths she will be willing to go to either defend or destroy you… you’d be wise to avoid displeasing it.

Today also marks the release of the completely free 3.2 “Herbert” patch, named after renowned science fiction author Frank Herbert. This patch notably buffs the Humanoids Species Pack expansion by adding the Pompous Purists Civic, as well as base game changes which bring an improved ship browser to the base game, a greater variety of anomalies, and AI behavioral changes. Star Citizen: What To Expect In the Annual Ship Showdown and Free Game Access

Calling all pilots and players interested in Star Citizen! The Star Citizen Ship Showdown has begun! It is a month-long celebration of galactic proportions where players around the world vote for their favorite vessels and spacecraft designs in the ‘verse. Players campaign for their favorite ships with original videos, songs, miniature, photos, and more. You can find an archive of the best community creations celebrating their favorite ships, here. The second phase of the event sees 16 of the most popular ships competing in a head-to-head bracket vote.

To celebrate the conclusion of this annual celebration, developer CIG welcomes new players with free access to download and play Star Citizen along with free access to Ship Showdown’s final four ships for both new and existing pilots. Those who have any of the final four ships with the most votes can also look forward to additional prizes including an exclusive in-game skin and leather jacket, while the ultimate winner will also receive a manufacturer-themed in-game backpack.

The final four most popular ships for this year’s Star Citizen Ship Showdown event include:

C2 Hercules

All The Dates

The Star Citizen Free Fly event is scheduled to begin today on Monday, Sept. 20 at approximately 10:00am (Pacific Standard Time) and will run through Monday, Sept. 27. Star Citizen players can cast their votes on the Ship Showdown event page before Wednesday, Sept. 22, with the final winning vessel to be announced on Thursday, Sept. 23.

In addition, all the top 16 most popular ships featured in this year’s Ship Showdown event will be available to pledge through the end of the bracket on Thursday, Sept. 23. The final four winning ships will also continue to be available to pledge through the end of the Free Fly event, ending on Monday, Sept. 27.

Sci-fi Grand Space Simulation Game Infinite Lagrange Launches on April 21st

NetEase Games announces the release of its Sci-fi grand space simulation game Infinite Lagrange for both mobile devices and PC in Europe on April 21st, 2021. In the game, players can truly immerse themselves in large-scale space battles and explore the endless depths of the universe in stunning movie-like 3D graphics on their mobile devices and PCs. Pre-registration is already possible via App Store or Google Play. The game will be available in more regions later this year.

Infinite Lagrange is set in a future, in which scientists discovered a time-space singularity known as a Lagrange Node. These singularities allowed for the construction of star gates spanning across countless galaxies and the creation of the Lagrange Network. In the following years humanity expanded rapidly and aggressively, which led to the rise and fall of countless civilizations and empires. Eventually the Lagrange Network fell victim to the wars being waged in the universe and it was shattered into pieces.

The players embark on their adventure with nothing more than a small ship and only being able to build a little base. With the help of certain skills and hard work they expand it by adding new construction options. Upgrading and adding more facilities let the station grow and become increasingly powerful. Space stations can also be moved to wherever the support they provide is needed.

Infinite Lagrange provides various types of spaceships with realistic industrial designs. Players can choose from a myriad of ships, each with their own weapon and armor systems, and customize them to their liking with specific modifications. Research will unlock new technologies and even new ship blueprints, giving players even more strategic options. By progressing further into the game, this allows countless powerful or highly specialized vessels.

In Infinite Lagrange, players can build invincible fleets of thousands of spaceships. The humble beginning might be its own small fleet consisting of three ships. By finding friends and allies and with the help of unions (guilds) giant amounts of vessels can be mustered. Combining all these fleets multiplies the military strength to wage huge battles and even take down whole cities. Forging larger alliances can even bring the mightiest bases down.

Stellaris Will Launch The Nemesis Expansion On April 15th

This weekend Paradox Interactive announced that Nemesis, the newest expansion for Stellaris where players can become the crisis or rally the galaxy against it, will be available across the galaxy on April 15. With Nemesis, players will determine the fate of a destabilizing galaxy. There are many paths to power, and players can either embrace order and unity as a Galactic Custodian to combat endgame crises – or choose chaos with the Menace option to BECOME the endgame crisis, savoring the silence of a galaxy where theirs is the only voice that matters. Long story short: Nemesis gives fans the most powerful tools ever available in Stellaris.

Whether one chooses to take power through diplomacy or subterfuge, or snuff out the stars one by one as they affect their most maniacal laugh, players can expect more control than they ever thought possible with new features:

Become the Crisis: Become the fire that spreads across the galaxy, threatening its very existence. As an empire becomes more and more menacing, it will unlock powerful bonuses to finish a hopeless galactic stalemate on your own terms. If the rest of the galaxy can’t stop it in time, players can unleash enough power to end all of existence!
Galactic Custodian: It’s up to gamers to campaign for the Galactic Community to declare them a Custodian, granting emergency powers to combat the Crisis. Use these extraordinary abilities to bring the galaxy back from the edge of destruction and restore order. When the crisis is defeated one may choose to relinquish their powers…or keep them, and form a new Galactic Imperium.
Espionage: Knowledge is power; use new tools to spy on enemies (or friends). Deploy Envoys to lead covert Operations and counterintelligence behind enemy borders. Lies and deceit will throw your enemies off your scent while you learn their deepest secrets.
- As Infiltration Level grows players will unlock new operations, such as Sabotage Starbase, Acquire Assets or Steal Tech. Turn allies against each other through the use of smear campaigns and by instigating diplomatic incidents. Play it right, and they’ll be none the wiser: what enemies don’t know will hurt them.
New Ship Set: Nemesis includes new ships inspired by some of the most imposing empires in science fiction. Whether you’re taking control of the galaxy or wiping it out, you’ll look as powerful as you feel.
