Twin Saga celebrates the beginning of spring with an entertaining seasonal event. New challenges await players of the colourful online role-playing game from gamigo. There are two new Maps to explore, the bustling port of Trade Fjord and the enchanted forests of Fairy Valley. Advanced players can now become even stronger thanks to the level cap raise to 95.

Crafty mages and nimble archers can embark on fantastic adventures and capture glittering treasures in the new areas. Be careful, however, because the large maps are also home to dangerous foes. In the dark dungeon, Shadow Cavern, a new level 5 Senshi will aide players in battle. But still waters run deep: Alyssia, the former companion of the goddess Marisa, strikes her enemies down with mighty magical attacks.

The increase of the level cap, together with the new Profession level cap of 90, introduces new challenges to Twin Saga veterans. Up to level 95, players can now train their characters to save Aetherion from destruction. Weapons and armour can be further improved to withstand even the most fearsome enemies in new Astral Adventures.

More information about the update and Twin Saga, can be found on the official website.

gamigo has announced a full packed update for the anime MMORPG Twin Saga, which includes the new dungeon Sky Garden and the Holy Cabinet. Starting at level 40, players can use the Cabinet in their character menu to significantly increase their character stats.

In Sky Garden, advanced players with a character level of 80 or higher can prove their combined powers against several monster waves. After every fifth wave, there is a chance that the Senshi Lunawill appear. Also, legendary weapons, rings, capes, accessories and starstones can be found in the new dungeon. Treasure seekers, monster hunters and adventurers can enter Sky Garden in Meridiavia a portal.

Like her (obvious) favorite animals, a Senshi also jumps out of the content package. In her pretty rabbit costume, Bonny offers her own quest series. Players can join Bonny or one of over 40 other Senshis to visit new seasonal events. They celebrate Chinese Valentine’s Day and enjoy the summer fireworks every evening.

More information about the online role-playing game Twin Saga and the latest update can be found on the official website.

Twin Saga Hits Commercial Release With Major Updates

Free to play Asian theme-park MMORGP Twin Saga has hit a milestone. The game has officially achieved commercial release and brings a bunch of new content to the game.

The biggest addition to Twin Saga is the new class. Players can now enjoy the Monk class. Melee fighting specialists, the Monk class will now be available upon login in the character creation screen.

There’s also bran new story content to enjoy too. For players who have completed the main quest arcs, a new one is available in Arcadia. Starting at Level 61, players can play through the Beginnings of a Crisis quest chain.

This story arc will also introduce two new zones in the game. Sanctopolis: Prismatica and Costellacia will be explorable during the new main story, and will have its own side quests too.

Besides new content, there is a host of other improvements in game too, which you can read here. It’s exciting times ahead for this very cute and cuddle MMORPG.

Twin Saga soft launched back in November last year, and we thought there wasn’t much to do once the story was over. Therefore, having a chunky update right now will help the game greatly.

For end-gamers and group players, do not fret. The new commercial update is introducing a few new dungeons as well. Overall, this is a solid update that should keep players invested in the coming months.

I’ve been thinking a lot about player convenience in MMORPGs lately. My recent adventures in games like Guild Wars 2, Revelation Online and Ragnarok Journey has showed me many things. Things that will spark interesting discussions no doubt.

When it comes to convenience and player power in MMOs, I’m all for it. I think plenty of systems and mechanics in past MMOs are dated, to the point of making them seem grindy, repetitive or just a hassle to deal with. It’s a broad generalization I realize, so lets narrow down and explore categories instead.

Firstly, let’s talk about convenience in the core gameplay. There seems to be a startling trend of recent MMO’s including an “auto-play” feature. Games like Twin Saga, Ragnarok Journey and now Revelation Online are prime suspects. Players have the option to hit the auto-pilot button and watch as their characters automatically move towards objectives. It’s crazy, and having been playing Western MMOs for the majority of my gaming life, this comes as a culture shock.

Gameplay Convenience

I have always been of the mindset that players being in total control of everything in-game was the norm. However, having used the feature extensively, I’m kind of liking it. I’ll let the game do the mundane things for me like travel, and only take the wheel during combat. In a way, it’s convenient, with a risk of encouraging half-assed playing. In the long term, we don’t know how that’ll affect players. Will more players demand the feature in the name of player convenience?

And then there’s the fact that MMOs are pretty split down the middle when it comes to questing. Some games believe in the immersion and journey, where players are expected to manually accept quests from NPCs and return to them to receive a reward. Staples like World of Warcraft and The Lord of the Rings Online still utilizes this even in 2017. Other games on the other hand, does away with the journey back, instead allowing players to either turn in remotely or just move on the next quest. It’s hard to gauge which of the two players prefer as it’s subjective. If you were to ask me, I’d very much prefer the latter.

Simplifying Systems & Mechanics

Now let’s dive into some systems, such as the auction house feature. Guild Wars 2 has spoiled me – I strongly believe that GW2’s implementation of an auction house is the best in any MMORPG to-date. It’s simple and idiot proof. It’s just too convenient, to the point I find myself questioning how on earth MMORPGs succeeding it in recent times did not try and replicate it.

Accessing the auction house can be done from anywhere in the game. And buying, selling and looking items is a breeze thanks to it’s smart filtering system. Having just come to Guild Wars 2 from The Elder Scrolls Online, the action house in GW2 is a god send. No more hassle playing with sliders and categories. No more ranting about why there isn’t a search by name feature.

Parting Thoughts

In conclusion, player convenience I feel, is all about what the game stands for and how much the game wants to help players achieve their goals quickly. Some systems that are known for being a clunky mess, like auction houses and crafting should be made more convenient. So too should management systems, such as combining currencies or making this account shared instead of character only. Convenience in these departments will generally make the player base happier and more invested.

On the other hand, totally dumbing down gameplay through auto play features is still a concept that many of us are trying to grasp. Will this make the game too easy? And what does it say about the MMO if it allows players the option to not care enough about the journey? I want your thoughts in the comments below.

We all know Aeria Games company have a tendency to flunk their games in the long run. Merely because they appeal towards pay-to-win players, giving them more privileges in the game. However, as of April 2016, the Twin Saga was announced. It appeared to everyone that the game is yet another anime-styled MMORPG and was released in August for beta-test, early access and such. Below are just my opinions based off actual gameplay and honest opinions, so do keep an open mind.

Graphics and features: WOW!

While I am very sceptical about the whole idea of anime-styled MMOs, this one however just had my motor going. Twin Saga has one of the most beautiful, or just simply the most beautiful anime graphics. You can tell it is top-notch from the character creation to the environment of the game. Everything is up-to-date and is expected off today’s games.

Interactive environment is something to note about as well. For example, entering your first town in the game, you can walk up to birds in an empty area and they’d fly off until the coast is clear to land. Just like real life! Speaking off that, the cut scenes in the game are also very well done as they are quirky yet befitting the art style they are going for. Each character has their own unique voice that befits their style, therefore creating better immersion and interest for the story that they are trying to tell.

The skills in the game are phenomenal. While the game tries to avoid over-flashiness much like Dragon’s Nest just to reduce the cluster of spamming your window. It is still attractive in its own sense to create an impact while playing the game. Trust me, it’s a good thing especially you’re in large raids or PVP. Sometimes you just want to know what is going on, rather than spamming buttons mindlessly and getting frustrated when you die.

Twin Saga has one of the most beautiful, or just simply the most beautiful anime graphics!

Character creation and customization.

The game allows you to choose between 10 different classes. However, the developers wanted to ensure that the players experience more to the game rather than just testing out each character by locking most of the classes. By choosing between swordmaster, mage and gunslinger; players progress in the game gaining achievements and unlocking the other classes such as cleric, paladin, hunter, rogue, berserker, occultist and dragonknight.

In terms of customization, there is not a lot to work with as the game intends to keep players within the art style, fitting into cut scenes and mixing around with other players. Come one, I’m sure you wouldn’t want a fat, bespectacled-pedophile-like character in the game. However, if you do intend to beautify your character, head on to the cash shop and get yourself some bling and rings. Get all fancy and show off to your friends.

Senshi: What is it?

Senshi appears to be a function much like pets and companions. In fact, it is just like that. Players gain these companions throughout the game and may level them up by collecting stars. Note that each player gets to equip up to 3 members, providing them assistance such as buffs and functioning like a party. So if you do intend to solo the game and avoid annoying players, do not worry about it. You’ve got your Senshi companions with you by your side every step of the way. But, remember, you have to gain their trust first. To add on, each companion is able to provide the player with an ultimate move, much like a combo attack dealing an enormous amount of damage or an strong effect.

Story and role-playing action.

While many of you play the game for their story, Twin Saga is packed with dialogues and rich story. Already equipped with a high quality and quirky cut scenes, the dialogues between NPCs are not to be missed out. Even the NPCs have their emotions from time to time, check that out! While those of you are not interested in the story, don’t fret, just click the continue button and be on your way with the quests.

Completed the game, tired of quests and farming more gold? Check out other stuff such as the Terracottage. It’s basically your own house packed into your pockets and accessible anytime anywhere. It’s a place to show off to your friends, hang out with and also your work space. By work space I mean the workshop where you’ll be working on your profession such as crafting, alchemy, cooking and aside from the gathering, fishing and farming held outside.

Did I also mention you have a greenroom where it is basically a garden filled with luscious greenery and beautiful flowers. If you’re into deadly plants that could eat your pals, sure! Go ahead! You may also feature some of the nastiest bosses in their holographic form. Flaunt your accomplishments in beating them and acquiring your fancy gear.

Remember, guild and parties are also essential in an MMO game. Get interactive, join the ranks and be at the top of your game. Take charge and lead your “kouhais” to victorious battles! But most of all, have fun doing it so!

Summary

I’m usually sick of an anime-style MMORPG, even more so that the developers were from Aeria Games. But this, this got me thinking a lot. So tune in, and get your game on for this is a game worth playing.
