In Warhammer: Odyssey, players embark on a journey through Warhammer’s Old World, initially the city of Marienburg and it’s surrounding area, from winding back alleys through to the depths of Drakwald Forest. As the game expands through regular episodic content updates we will bring to life other iconic locations throughout the world. For those who are already fans of Warhammer’s rich lore you may also cross paths with some familiar faces during your adventures.

In Warhammer: Odyssey, craft your adventurer depending on your personal playstyle with six memorable character classes.

• High Elf Shadow Warrior
• Human Witch Hunter
• Human Warrior Priest
• Dwarf Slayer
• Dwarf Engineer

Each class offers unique ways to play, such as the lightning fast attacks and crippling debuffs of a Witch Hunter, or the devastating offensive spells and restorative healing abilities of an Archmage. In addition to building your character, players will be able to join forces with friends in groups, make new allies by enlisting in a Mercenary Company to defeat fearsome foes or get involved in Marienburg’s legendary commerce to grow rich at the auction house.

Players who pre-order the Winds of Magic expansion now will get instant access to the beta up to the update’s release come August 13th. That’s not long to go, and there’s plenty of Beastmen to deal with if you’re itching for some slaying.

The developers also chimed in on what players can expect from Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s latest content drop. “Vermintide 2 continues to grow, and challenge the players in new ways. The Winds of Magic expansion will introduce a new enemy, the Beastmen, as well as new game mode, weapons, and leaderboards.” says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. “We can’t wait to see how we rank up against the players on the leaderboards. Or maybe not?”

The first expansion for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 brings a brand new enemy faction and new challenges to the game. As a meteor crashes down in the Reikland, the Beastmen rush to the epicenter to claim it as a Herdstone. It is up to the five heroes to stop them before a dreadful disaster strikes the Empire.
