Gamescom 2019 is here and day one has some pretty big reveals and news. Many of the big publishers and studios are also in attendance, from Square Enix to CD Project Red. With day one almost over, here are the top trending games and announcements to go over.

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be On Google Stadia

CD Projekt Red began with their announcement that its much anticipated open world RPG will be on Google Stadia. Gamers will be able to enjoy the immersive first-person RPG, its mature narrative, and cutting-edge visuals across dozens of supported devices. Cyberpunk 2077 will release April 16th, 2020, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Google Stadia version will launch the same year — additional details will be made available at a later date.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where your choices shape the story and the world around you.

The Witcher 3 Nintendo Switch Release Date Announced

Another one of CD Projekt Red’s beloved games, The Witcher 3 was announced for the Nintendo Switch console back in E3 2019. Today, we got a release date. The game and the Wild Hunt Complete edition will launch digitally and in retail on October 15th, 2019. Gamers visiting this year’s gamescom, taking place from Tuesday, August 20th through Saturday, August 24th in Cologne, Germany, will be able to check out the title in person. The game will be playable at the Nintendo booth, located in Hall 9 of the entertainment area.

In addition to the new trailer, the studio has also released a gameplay overview video, offering an extended look at the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3. Wasteland 3 Gets A New Trailer

Wasteland 3 has a large presence on the gamescom floor, with over 25 stations available for attendees to try a first-ever hands demo. At the same time, the Alpha will be released to backers who supported the title on its initial Fig crowdfunding campaign. The game has released a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated Wasteland 3 during the Inside Xbox show.

In this trailer the Patriarch of Colorado summons the Desert Rangers to his land and warns of the dangers they’ll encounter. With their home state of Arizona in dire need of the aid the Patriarch is offering, the Rangers have no choice but to brave the frozen wasteland, deal with the cults and gangs that inhabit it, and hope the Patriarch will stay true to his word.
