$2M Funding In Sight For Ashes of Creation Alongside More Stretch Goals
What a month Ashes of Creation is having. Starting its Kickstarter funding on the 1st, the campaign is now doing extremely well.
It has raised well over $1.84 million and is now nearing the golden $2 million mark. It’s doing so well that it’s left past campaigns from other MMOs in the dust. That includes Chronicles of Elyria and Crowfall.
To that end, the game is also successful in providing its stretch goals. Currently, AoC has hit the Underrealm stretch goal. The Underrealm is an underground area aka the subterranean zone that is an option for civilizations to develop. It has its own flora and fauna, so of course, expect monsters in the deep, dark abyss.
This further fleshes out the already limitless possibility of nodes and world building in this MMO. What’s exciting is that because of the hype and surge in funding, it’s unlikely to stop there. The $2M goal will bring more popular features should it be hit.
The next goal will include social organizations like the thieves guild. Sounds familiar? Think of Elder Scrolls and its MMO if not. I’m all for social organizations that allows better role play and common goals for players. Moreover, it adds a bit of flavor to the world on top of a chance for story quests too. But it will be up to the players to decide how that turns out, because as we all know, our actions determines what happens in this world.
