Wintersday Festival Returns To Guild Wars 2 This Week
Tyria and Guild Wars 2 is ushering in the holiday season with its annual Wintersday Festival. Currently live in-game, the festival will run until January 2nd 2018. Wintersday is an annual special event which celebrates the Tyrian New Year according to the Mouvelian calendar and Dynastic Reckoning. It is the celebration of the end of the Season of the Colossus and the beginning of the Season of the Zephyr. During Wintersday, snow covers the lands and the Snowmen and Grentches appear to spread their versions of the celebration across the land, through giving and destroying presents respectively.
Players will be able to participate in the following activities:
- The Winter Wonderland jumping puzzle
- Toypocalypse: Band together with other players to defend gift-bearing dolyaks against an onslaught of malfunctioning toys
- Tixx’s Infinirarium: Enter and help the jolly Toymaker Tixx prepare to share the wonder of Wintersday with all of Tyria
- Bell Choir: Take center stage and make beautiful music to celebrate the season
- Snowball Mayhem: Gather as many gifts as possible in this PvP snowball fight
Of course no festival is ever complete without rewards. Expect to see new outfits, miniatures, weapon skins and more this year. Also important to note, Wintersday is completely free for all players. So be sure to login daily and grab all you can before the festival goes away for another year.
