Black Desert Online Sold Over 530,000 Copies On Steam
I think it’s pretty safe to say Black Desert Online is doing pretty well since launching on Steam. BDO now boasts over 530, 000 copies sold on Valve’s platform, in addition to having over 7 million registered users. That’s some significant milestones for an MMORPG.
In fact, if you take a look at Steam Charts, it’s one of the top performing MMOs on Steam for some months now. A lot of that is down to the fact that at the core of it all lies a pretty solid game. Regardless of how the cash shop is turning out to be, a lot of the systems are decent. And who can argue with that level of graphics, especially when it comes to the character creator?
More importantly however, is what Pearly Abyss is doing moving forward. According to CEO Kyung In Jung, the studio is developing four more MMOs using the same engine for Black Desert Online. That simply means we can expect high quality graphics. Two of the games we might see sometime in 2018, with the rest coming in 2019 and 2021. No information is available regarding what type of MMO these new ones will be, but we’ll be there to report about them of course.
