Amazon’s New World MMORPG may have been delayed until next year, but the promised preview event (a closed beta really) is still scheduled to take place today, 25th August. The preview event is meant for alpha testers and everyone who has pre-ordered New World on Amazon on Steam since its announcement. This post will help you figure out how to get into the New World Preview event if you quality.
1. Check Your Email
To know if you qualify, check your email to see if you’ve received an email from Amazon which invites you to the New World Preview. For Gmail users, the email may show up under the Promotions tab. Within the email will contain your serial key for Steam. To actually know if you qualify, the requirements are below:
Note that all of Wave 1 should have already gone out prior to August 25th.
2. Insert Key On Steam
Now that you have your New World Preview key, it’s time to open up your Steam client to insert and activate your key. On the main app, navigate to the top left Games button and click it, which should bring a drop down menu. Click on Activate a Product on Steam. Simply insert the key code and you now should have the New World Preview title in your game library ready to download.
