Secret World Legends Is Bringing Changes To Upgrading Talismans
Secret World Legends is enjoying something of a resurgence since release in the summer. The MMORPG by Funcom recently held its annual Halloween festival, which was fun. In a recent developer stream on Twitch, they shared more good news. More specifically, good news about how players use and upgrade Talismans, which are equitable gear that drops from dungeons.
The first major change is that there will be a new Anima allocation coming to the game. Talismans will have a power score on each item. Beginning level 20, players can select what archetype or stat the Talisman uses. For example, you can select it to be either DPS, Tank or Heals, and the power will go to what you pick. You can change this as many times as you want, but must not be in combat to do so.
As someone who plays Secret World Legends, I can foresee this being a game changer. For starters, it totally removes the unnecessary and sometimes excessive grind for Talismans. You no longer have to grind for the additional DPS or Tank stat Talismans once a Healing one already dropped. This is definitely a good move for the game.
In addition, other changes coming to SWL includes new special weapon belts dropping as loot. Besides that, new anima leaps taking players directly to faction hubs and the Museum of the Occult is coming. Good times.
