Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion is now live:
Star Wars: The Old Republic was first released in 2011 and developer Beioware is still dedicated to supporting the game despite it being five years old now; the latest expansion to be added to the game officially launched earlier this week for some of the playerbase.
Knights of the Eternal Throne is live for all users who had an active subscription between October 25th to November 27th; subscription owners were able to access the new content three days early but as this update is free for all players, all other players will be able to check out the new content from tomorrow.
The new expansion arrives with a new story filled with twists where the player must now fight against the Empress of the Eternal Empire who threatens the sanctity of the galaxy with her vast army. A new war has risen where the player and their allies must fight in a new battle for the throne and for the chance to rule the galaxy.
This new expansion allows all players to level one character straight to level 65 for free so that they can access the content in this update; according to the details released by Bioware, the story in this expansion features nine chapters where the player can change the direction of the story with their choices.
Details about each chapter in the story have been listed on the official website to provide players with hints about what they can expect from each section of the new story. The Galactic Command System is being introduced with this new update which provides players with new and improved controls over the battlefield.
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Eternal Throne is officially live for subscription owners and all other players will get access to the new expansion tomorrow, December 2nd.
