Blade & Soul Revolution Gets New 16-Player Raid In Latest Update

Today’s update for Netmarble’s open world RPG that Blade & Soul Revolution introduces new high-difficulty raid content for expert players eager to test their skills in intense group combat. In addition to a new dungeon, players can further strengthen themselves with new equipment types that will aid in strategic combat.

Starting today, the ‘Dawn of Khanda Vihar’ raid is now available for players to conquer. It is a new 16-player dungeon that aims to achieve the highest difficulty known to players at this time. Players must think ahead and plan out their team combinations in order to successfully complete this new content. A new Bloodshade Harbor dungeon is now open, where players can eagerly enjoy the thrill of combat thanks to the dungeon’s usage of multiple battle patterns.

Players can also gear up and prepare for these new dungeons with all new equipment types as belts and gloves have been added to the game. In addition, new item enhancements for these equipment types introduced in this update will allow for a variety of item settings, providing more fun in strategic battle. Blade & Soul: Revolution Releases New Assassin Class

Mobile MMORPG Blade & Soul: Revolution from Netmarble has released its latest class this week, the Assassin. Assassins can disappear into the smoke with nearby party members, and ambush enemies by quickly closing the distance. With mines and spider web traps, Assassins cause the enemy to fall into disarray.

The update is free for all players and everyone can expect community wide-events in the game to celebrate its arrival.

Blade & Soul Revolution To Launch Globally On March 4th

Netmarble‘s latest open world RPG Blade & Soul Revolution has officially announced it will launch worldwide on March 4, 2021 for the App Store and Google Play. With the game already seeing widespread success in major markets like Korea and other Asian countries, including a win for “Google Play Best Game in Korea” for 2019, Blade & Soul Revolution will soon be ready to be played by gamers worldwide.

Blade & Soul Revolution is an Open World Mobile RPG that translates the breathtaking cinematic stories of revenge from the PC online game Blade & Soul into a cohesive and authentic mobile experience. The game will feature five professions at launch – Blade Master, Destroyer, Kung Fu Master, Force Master, and Summoner. Any players that pre-register can still gain access to rewards including 1,000 Black Crystals and one premium pet (a Lumi for Android users and a Sparkie for iPhone users).

The game stays true to its PC roots with a high level of full 3D graphics and large-scale content that has been revamped to perform flawlessly on mobile devices. Blade & Soul Revolution, Netmarble’s latest Open World Mobile RPG directly inspired by the popular Blade & Soul MMORPG for Windows PC, is officially coming worldwide in 2021.

An all-new site for Blade & Soul Revolution is available now that showcases first looks at the story, artwork and visuals, along with key features of the mobile version of the game. This gives Blade & Soul fans and mobile game players’ access to initial content in anticipation of its launch.

Blade & Soul Revolution Has Launched In the SEA Region

Blade & Soul Revolution, the mobile MMORPG based on NCSOFT’s PC MMORPG has launched in Southeast Asia. Available for free on both the App Store and Google Play, the game brings the classic story of your adventure from the humble beginnings at the Hongmoon School, to the epic finale, on your mobile phones.

Blade & Soul Revolution includes all the story, cinematics and characters from the PC version, but also tweaks its gameplay systems and UI to fit seamlessly with mobile phones. For right now, there’s four classes to play as, and players can expect open world questing, story missions, dungeons and PvP like Arenas and Faction Wars for activities to complete.

Microtransasctions are available as per the PC version, but it’s completely playable without having to spend a cent in-game if you’re not getting competitive in PvP.

Major MMORPG Releases In May 2020

As we near the half-way point of 2020, we’ve seen some impressive new MMO launches and some flops. It’s May 2020, and it’s time to look at all the new MMORPG releases happening this month, narrowed down to the most anticipated few.

Population Zero

First up is sci-fi survival MMO Population Zero which enters Steam Early Access on the 5^th of May. For a buy-to-play price of 30USD with a 10% discount during early access, players must survive on the planet Kepler, where it’s a race against time. You have 168 hours or a full 7-day cycle to explore, craft, learn new tech and build your way toward survival against the local creatures and other players, by working solo or co-op with others. There’s PvE and PvP modes, and really the main selling point about this MMO is that it cycles, and it all restarts after 7 days, but players keep their account progression in terms of crafting recipes learned and technologies researched. Over time as a the game’s development continues, its makers, Enplex Games aims to add more modes, lore and story mysteries, new mechanics and new regions to discover on planet Kepler. If you already own a founder’s pack, you should get your steam keys in the mail in the coming days.

Shadow Arena

Next up is the arena fighter spin off and standalone game from South Korea’s most popular export, Black Desert Online. I’m talking about the Shadow Arena of course, which enters Steam Early Access on the 21^st of May, after a grueling series of beta tests since the start of the year. In Shadow Arena, 40 Heroes battle against each other in fierce, action-packed showdowns to become the final survivor. Players can choose from one of nine playable characters each with their own unique fighting style. To climb to the top of the pack, players must hunt monsters and collect loot to upgrade their gear and gain buffs.

However, impeccable skill execution and well-timed evasive tactics are critical in turning fights in one’s favor to secure victory. While Shadow Arena does draw inspiration from Black Desert especially in the aesthetic department, it has created its own unique style, drawing from the MOBA, battle royale, and MMO genres to create an arena fighter. Shadow Arena has two gameplay modes: solo and team. While players can boast their skill in the solo match, complex strategic gameplay is required in the team mode. Players can also enjoy a distinctive co-op mode with a new style of PvP action. There has been no announcement on the pricing of the game at time of recording this, so stay tuned for that in the coming days or weeks.

Blade & Soul Revolution

In the mobile MMO category we do have one new release this month, and it’s the English version of Blade & Soul Revolution, which launches on May 14^th starting in the SEA region. As the name implies, Revolution is based off the main Blade n Soul MMORPG from NCSOFT, containing the stories, characters and classes that you’re already familiar with. It’s not a spinoff game at all, and it closely follows the original story, with all the cinematics and voice overs included. You have the PvE campaign, group content with with raids, and PvP duels, faction wars and arenas. The game’s martial arts action combat has been recreated here to sync with the mobile interface and controls, and there’s even a unique sync attack gimmick where you pull off joint combos with your teammates and party members. It’s free to play and you can already pre-register on Google Play and the App store for some launch goodies. Because Netmarble is involved, expect to see Revolution hit NA and EU in the coming months, just like it did for Lineage 2 Revolution.

Phantasy Star Online 2 (PC)

Finally this month, Sega’s Phantasy Star Online 2 will also be launching this month on the PC to join its Xbox One brethren who recently enjoyed launch as well, and the developers have set a vague Late May 2020 timeline. This 2012 JMMORPG will be free to play with an optional cash shop, but it’s also a Microsoft Store exclusive, so if you’re hoping that the rumors of a Steam launch was true, tough luck.

Anyway, in PSO2, you can expect pretty much the same deal from Xbox or Japanese versions if you’ve played it before. You can pick from 4 different races and journey through a narrative driven world with procedurally generated environments, landscape events and raids with a maximum of 12 players a party. From what we’ve seen happening so far with the console version, SEGA has been killing it with the in-game events and crossover festivals, to add to the three years’ worth of content you can quest through from the Japan version of the game. On a final note, crossplay between PC and Xbox One will be available at launch.
