HoYoverse announced this past week that Genshin Impact’s Version 2.6 update, “Zephyr of the Violet Garden,” will be arriving on March 30, 2022. A brand-new area, The Chasm that is located at the westernmost of Liyue, will soon open and along with it, the story threads of the Traveler Twins and Khaenri’ah will finally be uncovered. Meanwhile, players can also visit Inazuma on the other side of the sea, meet the newest five-star character Kamisato Ayato, and celebrate the Magnificent Irodori Festival with talents and friends across Teyvat. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect.

New Area The Chasm

As Liyue’s primary source of ores, The Chasm consists of a distinct violet-red area with an unfathomably deep space underground. The area has been closed due to a series of mysterious accidents and is now overrun by monsters, Treasure Hoarders, and the Fatui. The new boss enemy Ruin Serpent and unknown danger from the Abyss also await at the end of The Chasm, where the main story continues with the new Archon Quest “Requiem of the Echoing Depths” in the company of Dainsleif. Meanwhile, a gadget named the Lumenstone Adjuvant will be handed to players to help illuminate pathways. Travelers can also unlock bountiful rewards including a four-star Weapon Billet and an all-new Namecard.

Irodori Festival

After the Sakoku Decree was abolished, Inazuma and the Magnificent Irodori Festival are now welcoming talents and guests all across Teyvat. Organized by the Yashiro Commission and Yae Miko, this year’s Irodori Festival will invite Venti, Xingqiu, and many old acquaintances to celebrate a time of arts and culture. In the meantime, rich rewards always come with festivities and games, ranging from taking themed photographs for a Mondstadt bard, clearing stages in the upgraded Theater Mechanicus, dueling in sword fighting, or practicing the art of flower arrangement. With all challenges accomplished, players can unlock a chance to recruit the four-star playable character Xingqiu.

5 Star Character Kamisato Ayato

Kamisato Ayato will make his debut as the newest five-star character during Version 2.6. As the young but highly accomplished head of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, Ayato is a man of many ways and means. In his Story Quest, players will see how Ayato handles troubles and an unusual occasion as Inazuma steps into a new era of progress. In terms of combat, Ayato wields a sword and holds the Hydro Vision. He can unleash immense Hydro damage in a short amount of time, and is capable of increasing the effects of his party’s Normal Attacks.

Players may recruit Kamisato Ayato and Venti in their Character Event Wishes, followed by the first rerun of Kamisato Ayaka in the latter half of the update. The Weapon Event Wish will feature a new five-star sword from Inazuma called “Haran Geppaku Futsu,” among others.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.6 update will be arriving on March 30, 2022. With the cross-save function, players can now continue their adventure across PlayStation®, PC, and mobile. The game is available for download on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation™Store, on Android from Google Play, on iOS from the App Store, and on PC from Epic Games Store or the Genshin Impact official website (genshin.hoyoverse.com). First released in September 2020, the game has been rated T for Teen by ESRB on PS5, PS4, PC, and Google Play, and 12+ on iOS. Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo today showcased Genshin Impact’s Version 2.5 Update, “When the Sakura Bloom,” coming on February 16, 2022. Darkness of unknown origins is looming in the recently opened Enkanomiya area, bringing unprecedented challenges for the Travelers. On the other side of Inazuma, the story of the Raiden Shogun continues, followed by the Story Quest of Yae Miko, accompanying her arrival as the latest five-star character.

Check out the Version 2.5 “When the Sakura Bloom” trailer below:

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way. Currently, players can explore Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma, three of the seven major cities in Teyvat, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast regions, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover. Further cities, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be released as the game progresses!

The new seasonal event “Three Realms Gateway Offering” will challenge explorers with an area based on Enkanomiya that is haunted by unknown darkness. Once they have set foot in this area, characters will continuously accumulate corrosive darkness. A special gadget, the Bokuso Box, will be given to help resist the corrosive darkness, gain new abilities, and take down certain monsters. Open chests, unlock Waypoints and complete exploration objectives in the event area will all level up the Bokuso Box. The event will last the entire duration of Version 2.5, providing players with an ample amount of time to fully explore every corner and claim rich rewards including Primogems and the new 4-star catalyst weapon, Oathsworn Eye.

Tough enemies continue to appear in Inazuma. Beneath the water in Enkanomiya, players may encounter Standard Bearers, Line Breakers, and Defenders of the Shadowy Husk family, each type with different weapons, elements, and abilities. For instance, the Standard Bearer will create shields for itself and nearby Shadowy Husks if it hits a shielded character. On the other side of Inazuma, a formidable new Trounce Domain opponent arises, as Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest continues, promising to challenge players with intimidating combat mechanics.

More allies will also come to help. Yae Miko, the head shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine, will be joining as the new five-star Electro Catalyst user. With her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, Miko is capable of providing both constant damage off-field and high burst damage on-field. Meanwhile, players may also cross paths with Yae Miko as an unusual urban legend circulates throughout Inazuma. Yae Miko’s Event Wish will be available in the early stage of the update, followed by Event Wishes of Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi.

With Version 2.5, the “Divine Ingenuity” event will offer a chance for players to create their own domain. Participants of this event will be able to customize their own domains with a variety of terrain, mechanisms, traps, buffs and completion criteria. Moreover, players may also try out other players’ domain designs.

A series of concept art about the Chasm was revealed to fans and players in the latest Version 2.5 Special Program. Starting from Version 2.6, players will be able to explore this all-new map addition in Liyue.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.5 update will be arriving on February 16, 2022. With the cross-save function, players can now continue their adventure across PlayStation®, PC, and mobile. The game is available for download on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation™Store, on Android from Google Play, on iOS from the App Store, and on PC from Epic Games Store or the Genshin Impact official website (genshin.mihoyo.com).

Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo today unveils details about Genshin Impact’s latest collaboration in the Alps, one of the real-world locales that inspired the in-game area Dragonspine. As part of the celebration, Europe’s highest ski resort Val Thorens is now Genshin Impact-themed. A series of web events will also begin today, inviting players worldwide to unlock a variety of rewards and a grand Alps Waypoint Lighting Ceremony broadcast online in mid-January.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action-RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveil the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way. Dragonspine is a frozen mountain range first added to the game back in December 2020 as its first map expansion. Covered by snow all year round, the area distinguishes itself from largely the rest of Teyvat with unique environments and creatures. In the past year, Dragonspine has seen many Travelers challenge themselves in the sheer cold and uncover mysteries beneath the permanent snow.

To commemorate a year full of memories in Dragonspine with players, Genshin Impact will launch a series of events that will connect players with the Alps, the marvelous mountain range and one of the real-world inspirations of Dragonspine. Visitors of the Val Thorens ski resort in the Alps can now enjoy unparalleled skiing experiences and breathtaking sceneries with a touch of the world of Teyvat in one of the highest and largest ski resorts in the real world. Meanwhile, players can also explore stunning sceneries online, and have a chance to send their wishes atop the world’s most majestic mountain range.

Players online can now help light up a special Teleport Waypoint placed in the Alps to claim various rewards and a customized photo card featuring the snowy peak and their favorite character. Those who write down their wishes in the event will have a chance to send them on the Tree of Wishes atop the Alps. Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo announced today that Genshin Impact’s Version 2.4 update, “Fleeting Colors in Flight,” will be coming soon on January 5. Liyue’s biggest annual festival, the Lantern Rite, will be held once again, bringing back rich rewards, the chance to obtain a free four-star Liyue character, and even the Jade Chamber that was destroyed in the past Archon Quest. In addition, the first version update of 2022 will unveil Enkanomiya, the remains of an underwater nation that has been sealed away for thousands of years beneath Inazuma.

Unlike the other islands in Inazuma, Enkanomiya is a huge floating island located beneath the ocean, constantly eroded by the Abyss. Ancestors of the people of Watatsumi Island once lived there, leaving the ruins of an ancient civilization that are older than any other relics found on land. Without day and night underground, players will find a way to use Dainichi Mikoshi, the artificial sun developed by the ancient civilization, as they delve into the puzzles and depths of Enkanomiya.

Dangerous enemies also await in the unknown new area. Living in the dark waters of Enkanomiya, Bathysmal Vishaps are cunning social predators who can hunt together and take advantage of their surroundings in combat. More enemies also show up from the Abyss. The Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames can unleash Pyro attacks that deal delayed bursts of damage regardless if characters are shielded or not.

To confront the challenges, players can team up with more reliable companions. The two new playable characters joining at the start of Version 2.4 are both polearm users and reliable supports to the team. The new five-star character Shenhe not only wields the power of Cryo herself but also increases the Cryo damage dealt by her teammates. Her Elemental Skill can also boost either nearby party members’ Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage, or their Normal, Plunging, and Charged Attack damage. The four-star character Yun Jin owns a Geo Vision, and she can buff her teammates’ Normal Attacks based on her Defense and the variety of Visions in the player’s party. As an opera master, Yun Jin’s opera performance will be voiced by a professional Peking Opera Artist, while her daily-life dialogues will be delivered by voice actors in different languages. Players may also recruit Xiao, Ganyu, and Zhongli in their own Event Wishes during the upcoming version.

As the world of Teyvat sees its own new year arrive in Version 2.4, Liyue Harbor will once again be packed with games, stalls, vendors, and all sorts of festivities to celebrate the Lantern Rite. In this year, the Traveler can also pitch in to help Ningguang and the locals rebuild the Jade Chamber. Meanwhile, rich rewards including 10 Intertwined Fates, a chance to get one of the eight free four-star Liyue characters, and Ningguang’s new outfit Orchid’s Evening Gown can be obtained in the latest seasonal events. Keqing’s new outfit Opulent Splendor will also be on sale with a limited-time discount.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.4 update will be arriving on January 5, 2022.

Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo has announced that Genshin Impact’s Version 2.3 “Shadows Amidst Snowstorms” will arrive on November 24, 2021. Players can put their adventuring skills to the test with a series of challenges in the frigid mountains of Dragonspine, investigate the disturbing mass disappearance of small animals in Inazuma, and get to know the two new playable characters, Arataki Itto and Gorou.

Currently, players can explore Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma, three of the seven major cities in Teyvat, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast surrounding landscapes, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover. Further cities, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be released as the game progresses!

Version 2.3 will see a series of new events coming with rich rewards and intriguing stories. The main seasonal event “Shadows Amidst Snowstorms” will challenge adventurers in Dragonspine, a huge mountainous area covered by snow and subject to extreme weather all year round. Joined by Albedo, Eula, and other old acquaintances, those able to endure the Sheer Cold and accomplish a series of agility, tracking, and combat training challenges can earn bountiful rewards including the new 4-star Sword, Cinnabar Spindle, and create their own “Puffy Snowmen.” Another event in Inazuma also calls for helping hands. Travelers may undertake the investigation into recent mass disappearances of small animals and a mysterious Warrior Dog, rescue these lost critters, and eventually obtain a special Gadget that can replicate forms of some creatures in the Serenitea Pot.

More playable characters will also show up in the upcoming update. Both Albedo’s and Eula’s Wish Events will be up for a rerun at the same time, followed by another Wish Event featuring Arataki Itto and Gorou. The new five-star character Arataki Itto is an intrepid man with Oni blood running through his veins. Wielding a giant Claymore and the power of Geo, he can slash empowered Charged Attacks with his unique Superlative Superstrength and transform himself into the Raging Oni King, buffing his attack capabilities while lowering his Elemental and Physical Resistance. The new four-star character Gorou also wields a Geo Vision but favors the bow as a weapon. As the great general of Watasumi Island’s forces, he can provide more buffs to characters on the field with more Geo characters in the party. More character backstories will be revealed through Arataki Itto’s Story Quest or Hangout Events of Gorou and Beidou.

A huge monstrous beast – the Golden Wolflord has appeared as the new boss in Tsurumi Island. The Golden Wolflord is even more dangerous than its subordinates, the Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps, and has the same ability to apply the “Corrosion” status which constantly lowers the HP of all party members regardless of their shields. Meanwhile, this terrifying beast can summon Rifthound Skulls to shield itself. In the later stage of the battle, the Golden Wolflord can further increase its Attack at the cost of lowering its Resistance to Geo Attacks.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.3 update will be arriving on November 24, 2021. First released in September 2020, the game has been rated T for Teen by ESRB on PS5, PS4, PC, and Google Play, and 12+ on iOS. Meanwhile, fans and players also have a chance to receive abundant rewards in a series of seasonal events to celebrate Genshin Impact’s first anniversary, as well as receive the crossover character Aloy for free.

Further cities, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be released as the game progresses.

Following the massive expansion released in Version 2.0, the main storyline revolving around the Traveler, the Electro Archon, various factions, and the people of Inazuma will come to an end in the final chapter of Inazuma’s Archon Quest with Version 2.1. As the story unfolds, players will be able to visit Watatsumi Island, home to the resistance forces with beautiful dreamlike scenery, and Seirai Island, a place of desolation shrouded in perpetual storms. More boss enemies, including the Hydro Hypostasis, Thunder Manifestation, and the new Trounce Domain Boss Signora also await players ahead.

Meanwhile, three important Inazuma characters Raiden Shogun, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kujou Sara will be joining as new playable characters. Story Quests for the Raiden Shogun and Kokomi will also be available. The Raiden Shogun will be joining as a five-star Electro polearm user who can deal massive damage and provide helpful buffs to the team. Sangonomiya Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island and leader of the resistance forces, will be joining as another five-star character. Wielding the power of Hydro and a catalyst, she can provide a great amount of healing to teammates. Last but not least is Kujou Sara, the bold and decisive general of the Tenryou Commission loyal to the Shogun. She can deal solid Electro ranged attacks with her bow and provide buffs to her teammates.

Outside Inazuma, the Moonchase Festival is coming in the following season. This is a time when friends and families in Liyue gather around, make a toast, and enjoy local delicacies every autumn. During the festival, players will reunite with Keqing and Xiangling, cooking and tasting local foods and recipes, and explore the origins of this ancient traditional festival in Liyue Harbor. Those who’re fond of treasures will be glad to embark on a big treasure hunt across Liyue, Mondstadt, and Dragonspine in the Moonlight Seeker event. By participating, players can get rewards and exchange for useful resources, including the new four-star claymore Luxurious Sea-Lord to max refinement. In addition, players may also claim in-game rewards and up to 10 Intertwined Fate in the new daily login event.

Fishing will also be introduced with Version 2.1. Players can soon go angling for a variety of fishes across the continent of Teyvat, and they can be used to produce fish meat, or exchanged for rewards and new fishing rods from the Fishing Association. With the Pool of Sapphire Grace, a new furnishing added to the Serenitea Pot system, players can also raise Ornamental Fish in their personal realm.

Starting from Version 2.1, the first crossover character “Savior From Another World” Aloy will be joining as a free five-star character. Players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above can receive her either during Version 2.1 on PlayStation® or during Version 2.2 on all platforms.

Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo announced today that its popular title Genshin Impact will launch the third of the game’s seven major cities on July 21, 2021. The upcoming Version 2.0 update, “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” will take players to the brand-new Inazuma region, located across the sea.

This area is ruled by the Electro Archon and has nurtured completely different cultures, creatures, and mysteries. Meanwhile, supporting features including the highly-anticipated cross-save function across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, PC, Android, and iOS will be introduced to provide players with a more accessible and enjoyable experience.

Check out the trailer below:

Unlike Mondstadt and Liyue, Inazuma is surrounded by the sea on all sides and consists of six main islands, often accompanied by a strong sea breeze and thunderstorms. Although Inazuma is greatly affected by fleeting lightning and the Electro element, the Electro Archon who rules the area has turned to the pursuit of eternity. Throughout the adventure in Inazuma, players will be able to explore the unique cultural landscapes, stories, secrets, and historical connections to Inazuma and the Electro Archon on each of the different islands, as well as the answers to eternity from the Electro Archon herself.

Among the various new characters of Inazuma, Version 2.0 will introduce three of them as new playable characters. Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, is often conceived as dignified, elegant, wise, and strong by the locals. She has been familiar to many fans and players since closed beta testing, and will be added as a five-star Cryo sword user. Yoimiya is the other five-star character joining in Version 2.0. She’s a Pyro archer and an expert in fireworks. Known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival,” Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolize people’s hopes and dreams. The last character, Sayu is a new four-star ninja character who wields an Anemo Vision and a giant claymore bigger than herself.

New Boss Enemies and precious loot also await players in Inazuma. In Version 2.0, the Hypostasis family will see a new Pyro member joining – the Pyro Hypostasis. Another new boss, the Perpetual Mechanical Array which seems to have some kind of connection with the Ruin Guards in Mondstadt and Liyue will also appear in Inazuma. After its debut in Version 1.6, Maguu Kenki will also be found as a World Boss and a source for Character Level-Up Materials in Inazuma.

The Version 2.0 update will also include more new features to enhance player experience, including the long-awaited cross-save function across PlayStation®, PC, and mobile. Meanwhile, more refined character shading, Haptic Feedback support for the PlayStation®5 DualSense Controller, and more feature optimizations will be added to the game to deliver a richer visual and tactile experience to players.

Genshin Impact will premiere its third major city, Inazuma on July 21, 2021. The game is available for download on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation™Store, on Android from Google Play, on iOS from the App Store, and on PC from Epic Games Store or the Genshin Impact official website (genshin.mihoyo.com).

Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo announced today that Genshin Impact’s Version 1.5 update “Beneath the Light of Jadeite” will arrive on April 28, 2021. As well as delving further into the history of Liyue with Zhongli, meeting new characters Eula and Yanfei, facing off against formidable new foes, and establishing a personal realm in Teyvat, players will also be able to opt for a next-generation Genshin Impact experience, with native support for PlayStation®5 bringing enhanced visuals and game performance.

Version 1.5 offers players plenty of opportunities to spend time with characters, creating new stories in the present while learning about others from the past. Those interested in Liyue’s history can pick up where they left off with Zhongli in the second installment of his story quest. Back in Mondstadt, players can continue their story with Noelle and also spend some time with Diona, the popular bartender of The Cat’s Tail, in a new series of Hangout Events.

Two new playable characters, Eula and Yanfei, will also be added to the game. Five-star character, Eula, is the Spindrift Knight and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. Wielding a claymore and the power of Cryo, she can deal AoE damage and increase her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. Meanwhile, Yanfei is a four-star Pyro-using catalyst wielder. Born in Liyue during peacetime, Yanfei is a young half-human, half-illuminated-beast who dedicates her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue’s laws.

Two new formidable enemies will also be found in Version 1.5, waiting for adventurers to fight and loot. An all-new Trounce Domain opponent, Azhdaha, the “Lord of Vishaps,” offers rare rewards once a week for travelers who manage to conquer his fierce attacks, use of multiple elements, and ability to alter the battlefield terrain. In a new chilling addition to Dragonspine, the Cryo Hypostasis will make an appearance as a new Boss Enemy. Just like other enemies in the Hypostasis series, the Cryo Hypostasis has a unique pattern of attack and provides precious resources when defeated, including Character Level-Up Materials.

With Version 1.5, the Traveler will finally find a home away from home in Teyvat in the form of their very own personal realm, accessible with a brand-new item — the Serenitea Pot. Created by Liyue’s adepti, inside this special teapot is a realm where players can build and decorate their home as they wish. Different house and realm styles will be available, each with plenty of space for outdoor recreation and indoor luxury. A number of gameplay improvements will also be introduced, including halving the cost of claiming the first three Trounce Domain rewards per week and doubling the amount of Companionship EXP earned in Co-Op Mode.

A few select pieces of concept art for Inazuma, the third major city and region of Genshin Impact, have also been revealed to fans. The latest concept art images provide a glimpse of Inazuma City and several landmarks in the surrounding area. Please stay tuned for more!
