We’re in the last stretch of spring and with summer coming right after, there’s never a better time to be an MMORPG player. Plenty of well known and popular MMORPGs are coming out with brand new content in this period. So here’s what you need to know and where you need to be to catch all the action.
Elder Scrolls Online – Elsweyr Chapter
If you’re and Elder Scrolls fan, Elder Scrolls Online is the mecca for an MMORPG experience. The buy to play MMORPG will welcome its third Chapter (expansion) on May 20th. The new content takes players to the home of the Khajit in Elsweyr. The Chapter features a new storyline of the dragons that carries forward throughout 2019, in addition to a brand new class the Necromancer. Needless to say, plenty of content will be coming with Elsweyr in May 2019 and you don’t want to miss it.
World of Warcraft Classic
Hate Battle for Azeroth? Sick and tired of the current state of retail WoW? Yeah, we’ve seen that going around a lot. The good news is, you can go back and play the mintest version of World of Warcraft when Classic is out this summer. There isn’t an official release date besides it being hinted as during summer. In the meantime, players can dive into the many private WoW vanilla servers to get a feel of what to expect. Things will be harder and perhaps more fun even, hearkening back to simper times.
Final Fantasy 14 – Shadowbringers Expansion
JARPG and Final Fantasy fans know what’s up. FFXIV is on a roll at the moment and the MMORPG will be welcoming its latest expansion Shadowbringers this summer. The expansion naturally adds tons of new features. Players can check out two new jobs like the Gunbreaker and Dancer. There’s also two new playable races, and of course the story continues. From being the Warrior of Light, players now swing the other way which makes the narrative all the more interesting. What will happen next on FFXIV?
Guild Wars 2 – Episode 6
If you’ve been keeping up with Guild Wars 2’s Living World Season 4, then you understand the hype. Last episode took us through Game of Thrones levels of emotion, and we love it. The final episode of Season 4 is expected to arrive sometime between Spring and Summer. The war against the Elder Dragon Kralk reaches its climax, and players are dying to find out where the story goes next. Additionally, there’s a new mount to obtain in addition to a new map to play on.
