Something sinister churns beneath the waves in World of Warcraft—the Queen of Tides’ return is imminent! Rise of Azshara, the next major Battle for Azeroth content update goes live June 25 and is packed with many new features, including the addition of Essences to the Heart of Azeroth system; two new zones to explore, Nazjatar and Mechagon; Heritage Armor for tauren and gnomes; new Benthic gear; a raid that takes players into the depths of Azshara’s Eternal Palace; and much more.
Patch 8.2 will introduce a significant number of game updates. For example, Pathfinder Part II will arrive which unlocks flying for mounts in Battle for Azeroth. There will be new Reputations to grind for, but it’s still nice that the reward of flying is within sight. Additionally, new features to gear and itemization are also imminent. The Benthic gear is one, which allows players to deeply customize their builds, and get tokens to transfer to alts to get these gear pieces as well. Benthic gear actually grows with you to some extent, provided you do some groundwork in the new zones in order to upgrade them.
For mounts, they will even have their own gearing system. Players can equip items for mounts in Rise of Azshara, that does things like walking on water or mitigating fall damage. This allows for a more customizable game play experience going forward.
