World Of Warcraft Tokens Can Now Be Used For BattleNet Balance

World of Warcraft players rejoice! The WoW team is announcing that World of Warcraft Tokens can now be used to extend game subscription OR add balance to your BattleNet balance.

Beginning this month, players can now stop by any Auction House in Azeroth and purchase a Token from players for in-game gold. The seller will get a large sum of gold for their part in the trade too.

The expended usage of the WoW Token will be seen as a welcome addition by all players. For starters, this further increases the value of the Token. As for BattleNet Balance, players can use them to purchase a variety of things.

The BattleNet shop contains items such as cosmetic pets and mounts that players can purchase for vanity. So if players have a surplus of Tokens lying around, they can use them to top up their balance and purchase the items instead of using a card.

The WoW Token is a hit with players and will continue to be. In similar fashion to EVE Online and Wildstar, the Token allows players to purchase a month’s sub for in-game gold. So that’s 30 days of game time that players can pay for with in-game gold, without using real money.

I really like this model that Blizzard is going with the WoW Token. The Token offers much more flexibility for players these days. However, there is the risk of inflating the price of the Token in the market.

Players now can charge a high in-game gold price for a Token. Of course, this will depend on server population and other factors. Overall this is still a great update for the players and it gives us more spending choices. So, how will you spend your Tokens in World of Warcraft?
