4game announces its last update of the year for Ragnarok Online right before the holiday season, giving the players the opportunity to enjoy their end of the year festivities exploring a new location alongside a bunch of new content.
The new map, Port Malaya is heavily based on the South East Asian culture, bringing creatures and features of the local folklore to the game. Players will be able to help islanders fight evil spirits and mythical monsters, take part in an iconic festival and get traditional tattoos that grant their characters special perks.
As for the Christmas thematics, the capital of the kingdom of Rune-Midgard, Prontera, will be fully decorated specially for the best season of the year. Xmas porings will also be around the capital for players to level up in the merriest of ways.
The presents are also plenty. A themed hat for free in the launcher will get the iconic holiday spirit to every account in the game. A 25% boost in drop rate will help players out when trying to get that extra rare item. And a Daily Attendance event will guarantee everyone gets rewarded every single day for only logging in the game.
And last but not least, a thematic luckybox, the Snowball Treasure brings many rare and extra rare items that would be the ultimate cherry on the cake of anyone’s Christmas.
