Massive Changes Coming To Secret World Legends July 5th To Address Player Feedback
Secret World Legends is having one hell of a week. Head start was eleven days ago, and plenty has happened. Players had to endure a 12-hour downtime on Sunday the 25th due to exploits, which pushed back a lot of the other patches Funcom had in mind. To their credit, they’ve sorted the issue and compensated everyone with free AP/SP boosts and Marks of Favor.
Outside the game and especially on the SWL reddit – the unofficial forums for the game – players are not holding back. From reddit itself, it’s easy to see that a lot of the game’s systems are polarizing the community. There are threads after threads that provide constructive feedback on what needs to change. The good news is that Funcom is indeed listening. Over the weekend and during their Dev stream, loads of changes to the game were revealed in an upcoming patch.
The biggest is of course the added benefits of becoming a Patron aka subscriber. Players will get more value in the form of free teleports between region, and double AP/SP gain. The latter is an incredible boost, especially due to how much the gains slow down at level 50. Not to leave level cap players out, the game will also double the AP/SP rate at 50. Another great change is with the game’s dungeon system. A new First Dungeon of the Day mechanic will be introduced, where players are guaranteed a good drop.
