Overwatch is not even a year old, which makes this even more impressive. The game has gone from strength to strength with each update. Its competitive edge and fun game play is sought by many, casual and hardcore.
The budding e-sport scene also plays a huge factor in spreading the goodness. Needless to say, this is Blizzard we’re talking about. They are obviously one of the biggest game studios in the world. Therefore, whatever they make is bound to turn into gold, with millions of players at least buying it to find out what the hype is all about.
Besides announcing the milestone, Game Director Jeff Kaplan also shared some good news. According to him, there are three new Overwatch maps in development this year. Another three will also see the light of day by the start of 2018.
All in all, it’s good time to be a Blizzard fan and an Overwatch player. It’s hard to see any other FPS game topple this juggernaut! So are you one of the thirty million? Share with us what makes the game so special for you in the comments below.
