Collaboration with McLaren Automative

NEW STATE MOBILE’s collaboration with luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive introduces the 765LT to the game. The 765LT – which is lighter, more powerful and offers the highest levels of driver engagement – is the latest in a line of “Longtail” McLarens and the most advanced and engaging LT model ever from McLaren. Players can now jump into both Troi and Erangel to experience the most powerful LT ever or they can obtain the exclusive vehicle skins through a time-limited McLaren 765LT Crate. The 765LT is available in five color variations: McLaren Orange, Luminaire Green, Sunset Orange, Thunderbolt Blue and NEW STATE Special.

Survivor Pass Vol. 5

The March Update introduces a new Survivor Pass with Cynthia Strong from Project Justice coming to NEW STATE MOBILE. Players can earn Cynthia Strong’s costumes and character appearance by completing all of the Story Missions. Players who upgrade to the Premium Pass will also receive Cynthia Strong’s Shadow Assassin costume.

Erangel Revamp

Erangel has received an update that mainly focuses on the southwest region of Erangel’s northern island. Avanpost comes as a new location within the map, while a factory has been added to Quarry, as well as a new loot location within Ferry Pier. These additions are promised to bring a new and refined looting and combat experience for players jumping into Erangel.

New Weapon MG3

The MG3 is a viable full-auto LMG that uses 7.62mm ammo, with a 75 round magazine that’s fully capable of defeating opposing players. The gun has two rates of fire – 660 RPM and 990 RPM, with the default rate of fire set at 990 RPM and deals the most DPS out of any weapon in the 990 RPM setting. This new weapon will spawn in Care Packages across every map and has a chance of appearing in the Weapons Box, located in the Police Station in Chester on Troi.

New Weapon Customizations

With the March Update, the Vector and Mini-14 weapons now have a second customization slot to further enhance their weapon customizations and viability. The Vector can now equip a drum magazine that’s capable of holding 45 rounds at the cost of significantly reducing the reload speed of the gun. The Mini-14 now has an open Stock Slot for tactical stock attachments to be equipped that will strengthen stability, recoil control and reduce ADS speed.

Seasonal Activities

 Along with the new update, a cherry blossom-themed lobby and various events will be introduced to celebrate a new season and the start of spring! Players can enter the events to get various spring festive rewards, including a cherry blossom weapon and a cherry blossom profile frame.

New Mode: BR Extreme

A new experience developed and optimized for mobile play, each 20 minute round is limited to 64 players. In this mode, the battleground is restricted to a smaller playable area (4×4) within the Troi map, which will be chosen at random and change every match. All Survivors start off with a P1911 handgun, a smoke grenade, 300 Drone Credits and fully charged boost meters. When the match starts, two  Care Packages will be dropped at random locations, allowing players to stock up on higher-end gear earlier in a match. Some additional features included in this new battle royale experience are:

• Increased quantity of vehicles and items throughout Troi, allowing players to farm more quickly.
• Survivors will skydive from a lower altitude so that they can land on the map as quickly as possible.
• Delivery drones will arrive faster, allowing players to get their hands on items faster.
• The wait time before a teammate can be redeployed has been shortened to 60 seconds.

New Vehicle: Rimac Nevera

The January Update also kicks off PUBG: NEW STATE’s partnership with Bugatti Rimac as players can now hop into the world’s fastest-accelerating production car – the Rimac Nevera – and test drive it throughout the Troi map. A time-limited Rimac Crate has been introduced, which contains various exclusive in-game items, such as Rimac Nevera in five color variations, including Nevera Blue, Gunpowder Grey, Prism Glow, Sunburst Red and Luminous Gold.

New Season and Survivor Pass

Season 1, which has officially begun after a two-month pre-season, introduces eight new tiers – ranging from Bronze to Conqueror – that players can work through. As players progress through each tier, they will earn a variety of rewards including Chicken Medals and weapon skins. Survivor Pass Vol. 3 is also now available, which is centered around in-game character Ben Brown, who is part of the Great Lakes Coalition (GLC) faction. Players will be able to complete missions to earn diverse rewards and items whole exploring the lore of PUBG: NEW STATE. 

New Weapon: P90

This SMG, which will spawn in Care Packages on the battlegrounds, will come with a standard tier-2 transformative scope and suppressor attached, but cannot be modified with any other attachments. It uses 5.7mm ammo, which can now be purchased through the Drone Store. 

New Gun Customizations

With the new DP-28 Muzzle Slot, players can now attach a Flash Hider (AR/DMR) or a Compensator (AR/DMR) to the DP-28 weapon. When using either of these attachments, however, gun damage will be slightly reduced. Players can also now attach the Lightweight Stock to the Beryl M762 to reduce bullet spread when firing from the hip or shoulder while also increasing ADS speed. Weapon stability will take a hit when using this attachment.

1. What Is PUBG NEW STATE?

The doors officially open on November 11th, but what is this game for those who haven’t been in the loop? Developed by PUBG Studios, the same company that created the highly successful PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS battle royale video game for PC and consoles, PUBG: NEW STATE will launch as a free-to-play next-generation mobile game in 17 different languages. Set in the year 2051, PUBG: NEW STATE will bring the full, uncompromised battle royale gaming experience currently available in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS to iOS and Android, making it one of the most realistic and technologically advanced mobile games to date. 

 
“PUBG: NEW STATE inherits the core of the PUBG IP and will have a competitiveness in and of itself on the global market,” said CEO of KRAFTON, CH Kim during the online showcase. “KRAFTON will continue to produce games that will be enjoyed by players across the world. We’re committed to offering an expanded experience based on the belief that games will become the most powerful type of media.

2. Setting the Standard for Battle Royale on Mobile

The game’s Executive Producer, Minkyu Park, introduced what makes PUBG: NEW STATE competitive and unique. He noted that while PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS mainstreamed the battle royale genre, PUBG: NEW STATE defines the standards of a battle royale for the next generation. The game uses state-of-the-art rendering technology and a gunplay system on par with what’s found in the PC version of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Additionally, the graphical quality of PUBG: NEW STATE pushes the boundaries of what was previously possible on mobile platforms.

3. Key Game Features and Update Plans

During the PUBG: NEW STATE online showcase, detailed game features and content update plans were discussed by Creative Director, Daehun Kim. He noted that PUBG: NEW STATE aims to push the battle royale genre forward through original gameplay features that include, but are not limited to, weapon customization, the drone store and a unique player recruitment system. When it launches, PUBG: NEW STATE will have four unique maps, including the future-set Troi and franchise staple, Erangel. The game will also be regularly updated with new content, improved gameplay and a season-based service focused on gameplay balance and fun.

4. The Global Service Blueprint

Head of Publishing, Henry Chung, presented KRAFTON’s global service blueprint for PUBG: NEW STATE and noted that KRAFTON will actively communicate with the fans and provide stable game services by establishing nine global service hubs. The company will also pursue various initiatives to live up to the expectations set by the global gaming community and deliver the best gameplay experience possible for all fans.

5. Next Level Anti-Cheat Measures

KRAFTON’s anti-cheat strategy to create a safe and fair gameplay environment was also introduced. Head of Anti-cheat Unit, Sangwan Kim of PUBG Studios, noted that KRAFTON will ban the use of an unauthorized program, emulators, keyboard and mouse, and actively detect and restrict hacks to prevent cheating and protect the game’s code. Aside from technical responses, the player sentiment and feedback from the community will be closely reviewed, analyzed and reflected through in-game updates.
 
Finally, the company announced that PUBG: NEW STATE has surpassed more than 50 million pre-registrations on iOS and Android as of the online showcase. Pre-registrations originally opened in February 2021 when KRAFTON formally revealed PUBG: NEW STATE.

The Setting

Set 30 years in the future, “Fall of Troi” takes place six hours before the collapse of Troi, a fictional city based in the PUBG Universe. Viewers will learn about the different conflicting factions throughout the city, delve deep into the mysteries of the Golden Mask, and learn how the city turned into a war-torn Battleground that players will be able to experience once PUBG: NEW STATE launches on Android and iOS later this year.

The “Fall of Troi” video joins other recently released PUBG Universe content, including “Ground Zero” and “Mysteries Unknown: Birth of the Battlegrounds.”

• “Ground Zero”: Starring Don Lee (“Marvel Studios’ Eternals,” “Train To Busan”), “Ground Zero” takes place in 1980s South Korea and sees Lee play an infamous prisoner attempting to escape a hostile prison. The short film ties directly into the lore of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ recently released Taego map.
• “Mysteries Unknown: Birth of the Battlegrounds”: This docu-series stars Jonathan Frakes (“Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction”) as he hosts an investigative docu-series to explore the official history behind the deadly battle royale competition on the Battlegrounds. Previous episodes in the Mysteries Unknown series include “Mysteries Unknown: Tragedy at Dinoland,” which uncovers the disturbing truth behind Dinoland, and “Mysteries Unknown: Paramo,” which highlights the dark history around a plateau in Peru with some perplexing properties.

As the daily pre-registration rate for PUBG: NEW STATE has increased following the Alpha Test, KRAFTON also announced it will open pre-registration for the game on Apple’s App Store in Q3 2021. Android users can still pre-register now on Google Play* to get an exclusive vehicle skin and the latest information on the game. Additionally, KRAFTON recently revealed that BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA** surpassed more than 20 million pre-registrations on Google Play within two weeks, further emphasising the strong global appetite for premier battle royale experiences on mobile.
