Prosperous Universe Now Lets You Elect Governors

In News
Space economy simulator MMO Prosperous Universe launched a massive content update allowing residents to elect a planetary Governor. The winner gets to set taxes and fees which are collected by their Corporation. And while the core systems are subject to constraints protecting newcomers, the planets further out are entirely at the mercy of their ruler…
‘Expanse’ is the latest in a series of content updates encouraging players to spread out into the far reaches of space and establish new colonies. Next, developer simulogics will focus on extending the spaceflight and shipping systems.
Thousands of players have signed up since Prosperous Universe released its first public version in December of 2018. The game went free-to-play earlier this year, staying true to its promise of avoiding microtransactions completely. The so-called “First Access” phase is going to run for several more months and will encompass multiple game world resets; once the game fully launches, its universe will become persistent.
